Existe un paraíso poco conocido para muchos, esta en el océano Pacifico a unas 350 millas de las costas de el puerto de Manzanillo, en el estado de Colima. Su acceso es por vía marítima, pero para emergencias cuenta con una pista aérea lacual es usada casi por los militares .

A este pequeño, pero importante rincón de la patria se le conoce como Archipiélago de Revillagigedo y tienen una gran importancia pues su lejanía de la costa le da a nuestro mar territorial una mayor extensión de zona exclusiva de nuestros mares , además de ser un punto militarmente estratégico.

Cuenta con 3 islas de origen volcánicos y un islote , de las cuales solo 2 de ellasestán habitadas por gente de la secretaria marina y armada de México

En cada una de ellas existe un volcán que en los años 50 tuvieron erupciones. La isla mas grande se llama Socorro, aquí encontramos la base militar La segunda se llama Clarión y esta a localizada a 300 millas mas alejada de la isla Socorro La tercera es San Benedicto, esta habitada por una gran cantidad de pájaros bobos

El islote se le conoce como roca partida y como su nombre lo indica es solo una roca en medio de la inmensidad del océano En tierra podemos encontrar una gran cantidad de animales y muchos de ellos son endémicos, de los que destacan las pájaros como el halcón de cola roja

Pero si bien en tierra es bonito, bajo sus aguas es maravilloso y mágico, pues sus corrientes del pacifico y del indo pacifico, en su conjunto atraen a una gran variedad de peces como el ángel de clarión, el mariposa nariz larga, el trompeta amarillo o el globo moteado. Pegado al fondo el lenguado pavorreal, los pulpos y langostas encuentran refugio

En aguas abiertas los peces pelágicos como los veloces atunes, woahoos, jureles, se sienten de los pescadores que los buscan como trofeos. Pero lo que mas queremos ver en estas zonas son a las grandes mantas diablos que nadan apaciblemente sin el menor temor a los buzos. Otro gran atractivo son la gran cantidad de especies de tiburones en especial los martillos que nadan en grandes escuelas y puedes ver perfectamente su inconfundible silueta dibujada en el azul de lo profundo.

Te sientes un poco inquieto cuando te observa un gran tiburón tigre , o bien te ves rodeado por tiburones punta plateada, te alegra el corazón de ver a los tiburones punta blanca dormidos en sus cuevas.

Pero la cereza de pastel es cuando tienes frente ti a las enormes ballenas jorobadas o cantoras que llegan año con año a tener a sus crías a este paraje, es una experiencia difícil de explicar .

Nuestro México es un país bendecido en todos sus aspectos, pues tenemos una de las regiones mas grandes y diversas del mundo. Nuestra obligación es cuidarlo y protegerlo por todos los medios posibles

There is a little known paradise for many, it is in the Pacific Ocean about 350 miles from the coast of the port of Manzanillo, in the state of Colima. Its access is by sea, but for emergencies it has an airstrip which is used almost by themilitary.

This small, but important corner of the country is known as the Revillagigedo Archipelago and is of great importance because its distance from the coast gives our territorial sea a greater extension of the exclusive zone of our seas, in addition to being a point militarily strategic.

It has 3 islands of volcanic origin and an islet, of which only 2 of them are inhabited by people from the Mexican Navy and Navy Secretary. In each of them there is a volcano that erupted in the 1950s. The largest island is called Socorro, here we find the military base The second is called Clarión and is located 300 miles further from Socorro Island. The third is San Benedicto, it is inhabited by a large number of silly birds

The islet is known as broken rock and as its name indicates, it is just a rock in themiddle of the immensity of the ocean.

On land we can find a large number of animals and many of them are endemic, of which birds such as the red-tailed hawk stand out. But although on land it is beautiful, under its waters it is wonderful and magical, because its Pacific and Indo-Pacific currents, as a whole, attract a great variety of fish such as the clarion angel, the long-nosed butterfly, the yellow trumpet or the spotted globe. Peacock flounder, octopuses and lobsters find refuge on the bottom

In open waters, pelagic fish such as swift tuna, woahoos, horse mackerel, are among the fishermen who seek them as trophies. But what we most want to see in these areas are the great manta devils that swim peacefully without the slightest fear of divers. Another great attraction is the large number of shark species, especially hammerheads that swim in large schools and you can perfectly see their unmistakable silhouette drawn in the deep blue.

Feeling a little unsettled when you’re spotted by a large tiger shark, or surrounded by silvertip sharks, it makes your heart happy to see whitetip sharks asleep in their caves. But the icing on the cake is when you have in front of you the huge humpback or singing whales that come year after year to have their young in this place, it is an experience that is difficult to explain.

Our Mexico is a blessed country in all its aspects, since we have one of the largest and most diverse regions in the world. Our obligation is to take care of it and protect it by all possible means. www.solobuceo.com
