TIFFANY RILEY Slappy
Tiffany is ecstatic to be performing again at Dallas Children’s Theater in Circo Metropolis. Tiffany recently co-performed in DCT’s My Faraway Adventure Kit project with her husband and scriptwriter, Dick Monday. She last appeared on the DCT stage in Blue. Tiffany was the first woman clown to be featured in the Big Apple Circus in NYC, and continues to perform in festivals and theaters worldwide. She has been a pioneer in the world of healthcare clowning and currently leads Clown Programs at Cook Children’s Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Hasbro Children’s Hospital through her non-profit organization, Laughter League. The duo were featured clowns at DCT in the Lone Star Circus® holiday shows for years, and they have also been an integral part of DCT’s sensory-friendly programming initiative. She recently completed her Master’s degree in liberal studies at SMU, and is spearheading the formation of a National Collective for Healthcare Clowning. She is thrilled to be back with her theatrical family at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts. In 2019, Tiffany published her first book titled Beyond the Red Nose: The Serious Business of Healthcare Clowning.
DICK MONDAY Monday
Dick recently scripted and co-performed in DCT’s My Faraway Adventure Kit with his wife, Tiffany Riley. Dick’s film and television credits include ABC’s Into the Night with Rick Dees, Brain Donors, Saved by the Bell, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, and Woody Allen’s Sweet and Lowdown. Dick has been a featured act with the Big Apple Circus, Circus Sarasota, Circo Atayde in Mexico, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Lone Star Circus®, the New York-New York Hotel in Las Vegas, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He also wrote, directed, and performed in the Shanghai International Comedy Festival; directed two shows, Blue and Balloonacy, at Dallas Children’s Theater; and brought contemporary satire to the 1932 Pulitzer-winning musical Of Thee I Sing at Lyric Stage with a 32-piece orchestra. Prior to all of this, Dick was the Director of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s Clown College where he trained and directed all the clowns for The Greatest Show on Earth. He is proud to work with his favorite clown in the world, his wife and partner, Tiffany Riley. 5
NESTOR SALAZAR Drummer
Nestor was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. His first musical experiences in the music industry were at seasonal family festivities, where he had to play either Claves, or Maracas, or Guiro, or Bell, or Pandereta, or be part of the choir. His world music education continued when he joined the U.S. Navy, and as the ship set sail, his opportunities to learn continued. In Spain he gathered with the gypsies of Rota and Cartagena, learning patterns for the Castañuelas, the Tambourine and the Cajon. Then, in Tunisia and Morocco, Nestor learned about basic patterns for Darabuka. Now based in Dallas, Mr. Salazar is enjoying a career as a busy local and international (Egypt, Turkey, Italy, Spain) touring percussionist and Latin music singer. He has done both live and recording work in the DFW area, Puerto Rico, California and Las Vegas.
JESSE PATTERSON Hula Hoop Artist
Jesse Patterson is a performance and contemporary circus artist originally from Dallas, Texas. She studied at the Lone Star Circus School from the age of ten, specializing in hula hoops, until moving to London, UK to attend the National Centre for Circus Arts in 2016. She has studied under teachers Inaki Sastre and Ian Merchant, as well as Ukrainian juggling coach Yuriy Pozdnyakov. At circus school, Jesse focused on incorporating and reinventing old school juggling techniques, known as hoop rolling. Jesse holds the unofficial world record for most hoops rolled with 11 hoops. She previously worked in six Lone Star Circus® productions. She has also performed at Six Flags Great Adventure, the European Juggling Convention, the Vegas International Variety Acts Festival and under dance choreographer and director Jorge Crecis in 9 minutes. She graduated from the National Centre for Circus Arts with First Class BA Honors in 2019. 6
JULIO RAMAZINI Clown & Juggler
Julio grew up in a small town in São Paulo, Brazil. He studied unicycle, juggling, trapeze and perch at Escola National De Circo in Rio de Janeiro. He toured the US with Ringling Bros. from 2006-2013 as a clown. He then settled down in Dallas, TX with his wife and juggling partner. Now they are performing at various events and shows. He is also a Health Care Clown with Laughter League in Fort Worth, TX.
KELLI BROWN Trapeze Artist & Juggler
As a child, Kelli found herself climbing trees and doing backflips off swing sets, so it was no surprise when she joined the circus. She toured the US with Ringling Bros. from 2009-2013 and is now performing at various shows and events in her hometown of Dallas with her juggling partner and husband. She is a member of the Laughter League team in Fort Worth as a Health Care Clown and is also a soap maker!

DALLAS CHILDREN’S THEATER THANKS YOU!
Listed are gifts received between September 1, 2020 to August 30, 2021. On behalf of the 250,000+ children and families served annually, we gratefully acknowledge our donors who through their contributions made it possible for DCT to present over 500 performances of high quality, professional theater for youth and families. Although program space limits our ability to publicly recognize only donors of $500 and above, we deeply and sincerely appreciate every contribution. As ticket sales cover only half our costs, your annual financial support is critical to introducing North Texas children to the magic of live theater. Should you wish to be added to this extraordinary list of donors or suggest corrections to our list, please contact the DCT Donor & Corporate Relations Department at (214) 978-0110 and THANK YOU!
