Breeding Guarantees Cow-Calf Pairs Females sold as safe-in-calf have been examined by a veterinarian and are so guaranteed to be with calf. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pregnancy check and report any discrepancies within 30 days following the sale. Females sold pasture exposed may or may not be pregnant. Bred cows will have pregnancy status and projected calving date stated on health paper. Bred Heifers Consignors guarantee heifers to be safe in calf for up to 30 days following the sale date. If a heifer is proven open by veterinary exam within 30 days after sale, the Consignor will replace the heifer or make financial settlement with the buyer. Open Heifers Guaranteed open and stated on health papers by local vet. If a Buyer purchases a heifer that happens to be bred, the producer agrees to refund the full purchase price plus $1.00 per day for every day the buyer has ownership of the heifer. This is subject to a veterinarian’s certification that the heifer is pregnant and the returned ear tag verifying the farm of origin. The heifer’s ownership then reverts back to the producer and the producer must negotiate with the buyer as how you can get the heifer marketed or the producer can make arrangements to have her returned. 2

CONSIGNER INFORMATION Green Hills Gelbvieh Walter and Lee Teeter 1380 French Belk Road Mt. Ulla, NC 28125 704-664-5784 ldtgja@aol.com Walter and Lee began breeding Gelbvieh in 1987 because of the breed’s maternal qualities, quick growth and disposition. In the early 1990s, they added black genetics and now have an 88% black herd. The Ž cow herd consists of 100 purebred Gelbvieh, 60 Balancer and 60 commercial animals. 85% of the females are bred AI or implanted with Gelbvieh embryos, then cleaned up with either purebred or Balancer bulls. 85% of the females calve in the fall from August 20 to December 10, with 20% calving mid-February to mid-April. In the spring, the cattle are vaccinated, tested for brucellosis and wormed twice. The cattle summer in the North Carolina mountains and calve in the Piedmont in an effort to best utilize rotational grazing and hay supplies. Certified Herd C-22. Accredited Herd A-732. Locust Hill Farms Todd Hodges & Glenn Hodges 958 Allison Road Ruffin, NC 27326 For information contact Greg Anderson 828-442-6869 grega1983@live.com Locust Hill Farms is a third generation farm. Originally owned and operated by WR Hodges, the primary focus was tobacco production. The second generation, under the ownership and management of Glenn O. Hodges, continued the focus centered on tobacco with a small portion of the farm resources allocated to cattle production. In the 1990s the third generation heirs Glenn O. Hodges Jr. and Todd Hodges continued tobacco production with a larger focus on cattle. In 2003 the first Gelbvieh cows were purchased after using a Gelbvieh bull from a neighbor. In 2003 Locust Hill Farms became a registered Gelbvieh seedstock producer. Today the 1000 acre operation is home to nearly 150 Gelbvieh and Gelbvieh influenced cattle. Locust Hill Farms strives to produce the highest quality cattle available that produces the highest possible profit for our customers. Consignments: 2 Cow/Calf Pairs; 6 Bred Cows; 2 Bred Heifers 4

CONSIGNER INFORMATION Longleaf Station Mick Ainsworth 1613 Derby Road Jackson Springs, NC 27281 910-652-2233 longleaf@etinternet.net Longleaf Station has built a reputation as a Gelbvieh and Balancer® breeder producing “grass grown carcass quality and performance” cattle through the extensive use of AI, ET and quality control systems. Superior results are realized by using EPDs, ultrasound, DNA data, show ring results, and last but not least, buyer/customer satisfaction. The brood cow herd currently is approximately 125 head. Our philosophy is first, have a live calf on the ground, (using projected calving ease and birth weights). Secondly, performance on grass emphasizes the need for the foundation of good grass farming, and is a crucial test of our quality carcass genetics to produce highly desirable and marketable cattle. Consignments: 4 Cow/Calf Pairs; 2 Bred Heifers; 1 Bull

McNeill Farms Gene McNeill 1948 Upper Road Seagrove, NC 27341 336-953-5225 mcneillfarms@embarqmail.com McNeill Farms is a family owned and managed cow herd by Gene and Charlon McNeill. We invested in Gelbvieh influenced females at the J-Bob Farms dispersal in September of 2005. Since our investment, we have always been delighted with the hard working functional Gelbvieh influenced cows. We feel they are second to none. Through artificial insemination to top sires in the Gelbvieh and Angus breeds we continue to introduce top predictable genetics to further build our herd. We strive to produce good, hardworking bulls and females. We are glad to have this opportunity to consign a sample of what we have achieved to date. Our cattle come to you ready to work in your herd and we feel they will compliment yours. We also have bulls and females available private treaty. Consignments: 2 Cow/Calf Pairs 5

CONSIGNER INFORMATION Register Farms Craven Register 1040 Williamson Road Clinton, NC 28328 910-592-5522 cravenner@intrstar.net Register Farms started with a commercial herd and began the Gelbvieh herd with two red polled females in 1990. We continued to increase the Gelbvieh herd and phased out the commercial cows. We were impressed with the genetics, growth, maternal traits and disposition of the Gelbvieh breed. By 2000 Register Farms had both a red and black herd of cattle and were producing quality beef cattle. In 2005 we included Balancer速 cattle, a cross between purebred Angus and purebred Gelbvieh, in our program thereby improving our market. Our mission is to produce quality genetics with our rotation of pastures, thereby promoting our herd and offering a fine quality product to our customers coming to the farm to select their purchases. Consignments: 5 Bred Heifers

T-Square Gelbvieh Farm is a 250 acre, 68 brood cow operation located in the piedmont of North Carolina in Mooresville. Our farming operation is built on tradition and producing quality animals that will perform to help improve both our registered and commercial cattle customers’ herds. Our farm manager, Mr. Dale Riley, has been able to build on our past AI program and improve our herd genetics, using nationally recognized bulls. For several years, we have been producing both non-registered and registered ® Gelbvieh/Angus Balancer females to use in our herd. We currently have several registered Gelbvieh/Angus Balancer females and we have been extremely pleased with their performance and their ability to raise a calf on grass and hay with minimal supplemental feeding during the winter.
