www.tripleplayranches.com Lunch Served at 11:30AM Greetings from the Triple Play Ranches, As we put the catalog together much of South Dakota is in a blizzard warning. While this isn’t very pleasant for those of us feeding and calving, the moisture that is in this snow is very welcome. In fact, the word from meteorologists is that El Niño is starting to come to life and with it the promise of more moisture for the coming year. With record corn planting acres planned, we could be looking at the perfect situation as far as fall feeder calf prices are concerned. This year’s offering is a testament to the goals we continue to strive to achieve. These bulls grew up through an extremely hot dry summer that presented forage as well as water challenges. They still weaned off their mothers at adequate weights and have performed well on test. One of the changes you will notice this year is the new EPD base. In January, the AGA adopted the same EPD base as the Simmental and Red Angus breeds. What this means is that you can now compare numbers across all three breeds. If you have any questions feel free to contact any of us to talk about these changes. Once again, we are honored to have you evaluate our genetics and invite you to visit any of our ranches to look at the cattle. We also look forward to seeing you on March 21st at Magness Livestock.

This moderate framed purebred bull has a big square hip with a nice look. His dam is one of the best looking females on the ranch.
Lot 20 - a paternal brother to BVLK Legacy We are truly blessed and excited to be able to put these two outstanding females into our donor herd. We are confident that these donors will perform exceptionally well throughout their production years. Look for bull & heifers from these elite cows on future sales. Look for flushing opportunities to become available in the near future.
Carley continues to impress us and has only gotten better since Denver. She is now proving herself as an outstanding first calf heifer with a picture perfect utter and a fancy Brilliance heifer calf at her side.
When Dustin & Britney searched through the Beastrom Ranch replacement heifers it didn’t take them long to get attached to this one. BABR 1015Y has grown into a female far beyond our already high expectations. We expect that her Crossfire bull calf will not be any different.

We have been keeping females back out of these sires for the past several years and have been putting them to work in our herd. After visiting with David Judd in Denver, they also have been very impressed with the Top Grid dams they have in their herd. We love the look, balance, calving ease and growth out of them. FORBES FEMALES Lots 63a, 63b, 63c, 63d Forbes Gelbvieh is offering 20 top end commercial Gelbvieh/Angus replacement heifers. These heifers are the top end of about 75 head with nothing held back. These heifers are half sisters sired by a son of Volek’s great Jewel cow and a son of our foundation female 363J. They have been culled for quality and disposition. These heifers will be bangs vaccinated and pelvic measured along with being reproductive track scored. These heifers have been developed on a high forage diet with longevity in mind. We are offering to take these heifers back to the ranch after the sale, continue to develop them and then synchronize and AI these heifers to any available bull in the Genex lineup. All of the costs for this will be included in the purchase price of the heifers. As an added incentive we have secured 20 units of SAV Final Answer, which is in high demand and limited supply, as one of the sire choices. By sale day Final Answer semen will probably be sold out for the season. Heifers will sold in lots of 5 as Lots 63a, 63b, 63c, and 63d.
