teammate. I have you to thank for that. I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors. The future of the Gelbvieh breed, and the beef industry, is brighter because you chose to serve your peers. I look forward to seeing where your paths take you after your years spent in the teal jacket. Know that just because we will not see each other across the board room this fall, I am still your biggest advocate and cheerleader. For the newest members of our team, I hope you recognize the honor that has been bestowed upon you by your peers. You have earned an opportunity many only dream of, and others before you have worked tirelessly to serve. Please do not take the next two years for granted—they will go fast.

Honorary Friend of the AGJA

or the sixth consecutive year, a special award was presented to a supporter of the American Gelbvieh Junior Association (AGJA) who had a tremendous impact on the association and its members. This year Emily Griffiths, Kendallville, Indiana, was recognized as an Honorary Friend of the AGJA at the 2021 AGJA Southern Hospitality Classic awards banquet, which was held on Friday, June 25, 2021, in Batesville, Mississippi.

Emily has served as a supporter of the AGJA in many ways over the years, including serving as an advisor for the AGJA board of directors, mentor to many and role model of what it means to educate others about the Gelbvieh breed. The AGJA would like to thank Emily for her continued supported of the AGJA. F
