Friends, We look forward again this year to the opportunity to share our genetic inputs with you with the hope that it helps you achieve your operational goals. To the many Tucker Family Farms’ Sale veterans, we thank you for your past support. If this is the first year you have attended our Professional Replacement Female Sale, we look forward to having you appraise our program and the excellent set of replacements we have provided. We encourage you to study the matings we have created using some of the best AI Sires in the industry. Our three primary composite lines;(Power Blacks, Maternal Mamas, and Target Reds) have evolved from a disciplined approach to balanced, multi-generational selection. Don’t overlook the quality of our Natural Service sires on these females. These bulls represent a significant investment on our part and were all selected to bring many things to “the party” in addition to calving ease. They are individually mated to each female to best compliment her genetic profile. In these volatile times we believe focusing on the things that we can control is our best risk management strategy. Through decades of carcass evaluation and subsequent selection our current steer mates to our female offering are bringing just under $200/hd grid premiums over the market. We are even more excited with the progress we have made on the input side. By focusing on feed efficiency and intake we have created Mama cows that are capable of higher stocking rates which translates to more pound of calf marketed per acre and steers that convert more efficiently in the lot. Infusing these genetics into your program will improve your bottom line through reducing your input costs. All sale cattle will be available for viewing from April 1st through the sale date Wednesday, April 13th @ 2:00 EST. We will have trusted representatives to handle telephone bids if you cannot attend, or you can choose to participate directly through our teloauction line. Lastly, we genuinely value the fellowship of the day, and we are so excited to announce that our Sale Day Lunch is BACK! We are comfortable that we can gather post pandemic and break bread outdoors together and we will be serving our popular burgers @ 12:30 EST. Come join us for that time with one another as you do your presale final evaluations. As always, My Guarantee is my name and I am always available for inquiries both before and after the sale. Moving forward together, Bill

These Lot 1 sisters got their careers off to a great start with each one "sticking" on their first AI service. The Homesteads fix the High Milk/Fleshing Ability antagonism. These stout made, moderate framed sisters will be extremely easy fleshing, are out of a set of power balancers, and yet bring 34 lbs of milk to the party. A unique combination. We really like the mating to Sustain, who spreads best 10% calving ease to top 10% pay-weight. Sustain dominates Angus indices with best 1% $Beef Value, 2% Combined Value, 2% Feedlot value, 1% Maternal Value and 4% Weaning Value. Description

This will be the first Extra Profit daughters we've offered. Our good friends and bull partner, Dan Stickel has always told us how great the Profit-Driven daughters were, so we jumped at the opportunity to purchase what may be his best son to date.
Uniformity is one of the biggest value drivers when marketing feeder calves or building a cow herd. Don't overlook the option of building highly related calf crops by finding common service sires. Both Lots 4 & 5 feature A.I. matings to Optimum, who features an amazing spread from best % Calving Ease to heaviest 4% Pay-weight, and ranks in the top 5% or better for both $Weaning value and $Combined value.

These heifers' service sire, BJ Surpass ranks well above the best 1% for $Maternal Value and also top 1% for $Weaning value. That said, don't ignore those carrying bull fetuses; Surpass comes with outstanding spread, combining the easiest calving 5% with the heaviest 5% at yearling. He also ranks in the top 5% for carcass weight and top 15% for marbling so there will be more pounds of premium prime carcasses. Trilogy D6071, Lot 6's sire, is proving to be a real cow herd builder with rankings of: Top 4% heifer pregnancy rate, Top 1% maternal calving ease, Top 5% Stayability (longevity and cow herd fertility). Better yet, he does all that for the cow herd while contributing a 17 CED to 109 YW spread and best 3% Marbling. So, if you are building a cow herd be sure to pick the two heifer Pregnancies.

Patriarch is one of the Angus breed's premier spread bulls today. He defies the antagonisms with best 3% calving ease and top 5% yearling weight, and removes the guess work with over 80% accuracies for both traits. Patriarch's steer calves will have the skids greased for some big-time closeouts, thanks to his top 20% rank for RADG (Feed Efficiency), 20% for Marbling, Top 30% for carcass weight and top 15% for REA. The paternal gransire, of these heifers, Brown JYJ Redemption Y1334 is the high selling Red Angus bull ever through the R.A. Brown Ranch program at $140,000 and has been the high use sire in the Red Angus breed 4 years in a row. Description

Not only will these Balancer (50% GV, 50% AN) heifers add a shot of maternal heterosis to your program, but they are loaded with the additive tratis we want in our own replacemenets: Best 3% Heifer Pregnancy, Best 20% PG30, and best 15% Docility. No wonder Granite ranks in the top 25% for $Cow - American Gelbvieh's maternal profit index. Their mating to Hometown ensures calf value with his top 1% rankings for $Grid Value, $Beef Value and $Combined Value, not to mention his well above top 1% marbling EPD and top 20% RADG EPD which predicts feed efficiency. As a proven sire, D503 continues to deliver value. First by adding top 5% Docility and top 15% Total Maternal back into the cow herd. And of equal importance he brings Top 5% Carcass Weight and Top 15% Marbling to the calves we feed to harvest. The mating to Patriarch similarly benefits the entire calf crop with $values in the best 20% or better for Maternal, Weaning, Grid and Beef Values.
We don't sacrifice cow herd traits as we strive to build greater feedlot performance and carcass value. 8

2022 will mark the first appearance of Best Cut daughters in our annual sale. Historically, No one has done Red SimAngus better than BIF Seedstock Producer of the Year, Pelton Simmental & Red Angus. So it was an easy decision for us to add Best Cut to our program with his combination of Stayability and Maternal Calving Ease that rank in the best 30% of the breed, plus Top 10% Marbling to ensure our steers continue to earn big Quality Grade Premiums! A pair of half-sisters by Colonel, who balances 12 traits in the top 35% of the Angus breed. We really like Colonel to improve docility and foot structure and stature to cattle that need extra horsepoewer. Few things are more anticipated than calves by BJ Surpass. His best 5% calving ease and best 10% maternal calving ease means more live calves. His best 5% yearling weight EPD means greater pay-weight. His best 1% heifer pregnancy EPD means fewer open heifers and reduced replacement costs. No wonder Surpass ranks in the top 1% for $Maternal Value, $Weaning Value, and $Combined Value. Due Dates and/or fetal sex notated as TBD are awaiting ultrasound to determine expected calving date. All heifers will be checked prior to sale and guaranteed safe in calf as announced on the sale supplement.

The Normande breed combines excellent carcass and cow-herd building traits and comes complete with extra hardiness, foraging ability, and superior foot structure. Two years ago, the Normande heifers came from right here in the middle of the sale to be the top-selling females in the entire offering. We feel this year’s offering are every bit as good.

Cow/Calf profitability usually comes down to stocking rate - harvesting more pounds of calf from a fixed land resource. Improving "Pounds per Acre" requires cumulative success in fertility, calving ease and calf survival combined with moderation of mature cow size to reduce intake and increase stocking rate. It is with this goal in mind that we mated our docile, good footed, Colonel daughters to the superior calving ease, high weaning value and moderate mature size of Deep Well F199. Take our advice and keep every heifer calf from this mating. Description

Baker D217 excell for cow herd building traits such as Heifer Pregnancy, Maternal Calving Ease, Docility, and $Maternal value, but also contributes best 10% Marbling. This is a very uniform group of what we think are his finest daughters. And, we've mated them to maximize your ROI. Most of us still sell them by the pound, and Ashland simply produces more pounds - whether you sell them at weaning, yearling, or retain ownership and sell them on the rail - doesn't matter, Ashland ranks in the top 2-4% for all weight traits.

Thanks to Reserve's stifle injury last summer, Lot 28 will be the last time we offer his daughters. Here are the sisters to the Best Cut daughters that sold back at Lot 11. These SimAngus offer a different breed option, but the same maternal heterosis as our Balancer females. We snuck in under the radar and "stole" Revelation the same year everyone was watching Redemption sell for $140,000 at R.A. Brown Ranch's October sale. We are glad everyone else was distracted. Perhaps no sire has moved our program forward as much as Revelation. And Lot 32 will be his last daughters we ever sell. Description

If you missed out on those Trilogy D6071 daughters that sold back at Lot 6, here's your chance. This sire does so many things so well: Top 4% heifer pregnancy rate, Top 1% maternal calving ease, Top 5% Stayability (longevity and cow herd fertility). Better yet, he does all that for the cow herd while contributing a 17 CED to 109 YW spread and best 3% Marbling. You'll want to keep every heifer that comes from their mating to Western with his best 3% Maternal Value and 2% Weaning Value.
We're always happy to show visitors our cow herd and share our cattle breeding philosophies. And, don't worry, we'll understand if you get distracted by the scenery here on our eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains

Saving the best for last? We couldn't argue that opinion, after all the Takeover daguhters are beautiful uddered and superbly feminine. Their mating to Western comes with best 3% $Maternal Value and 2% weaning value, so you'll win whether they have heifer or bull calves.

We end the sale with three Normande steers. Perfect for a grass finished and/or freezer beef operation. Successful bidder can take 1, 2 or all three head.
Just like our prior two sales, We'll conduct our "gentleman's auction" just in front of the sale barn where the heifers are penned. This will provide ample seating out where bidders can spread out and remain socially distanced. 19
