A business school curriculum for fashion lovers

Specialized in marketing and communications within the fashion and creative industries, this course offers 360° vision and curriculum to develop a solid basis in fashion culture, a global understanding of the sector, strong product knowledge and operational skills in marketing, distribution and communications.

Level 6 certification, NSF code 242p, registered with the RNCP by France Compétences (France’s academic accreditation governing body) registration decision dated 17 June 2021 –Equivalent: Bachelor's Degree (Bac+3 or 180 ECTS credits)

Targeted Career Paths

The career paths accessible to our graduates following this program is everything relating to Fashion Business, as showcased by the careers of our alumni: from forecasting & trends to communications, including product development, marketing, distribution, merchandising, PR, etc. We provide them the opportunity to work in highly operational roles in companies of various sizes and market position, from start-ups/SMEs to large international premium fashion and luxury groups or even to pursue entrepreneurial projects.

Required Profile

A high school diploma or equivalent (regardless of concentration.) Have an artistic sensibility, curiosity and a real motivation to work in the sector, a professional project with the aim of joining a company in thindustry or an entrepreneurial project..

Possible to apply as a transfer student into the 2nd or 3rd year, for students with experience in marketing and communications, and after taking part in an induction seminar to be brought up to speed in fashion culture.

Final Project

At the end of the 2nd year, students choose the subject of their thesis project that they will work on throughout their 3rd year.

The topic: creating a diversification for an existing brand (propose a new product line for a brand of your choice) or a collaboration between 2 brands. The objective being to apply all the skills developed over the three years of study (market research, collection development, implementing marketing strategies, digital and CSR strategies, distribution and communications actions). A 360° project for which students have a series of coaching sessions with specialized professionals before handing in a written thesis that they then present and defent in an oral presentation before a panel of industry professionals.

Professional Experience

Students complete mandatory internships included in the curriculum each year for a duration of 3 months in the first 2 years and 4 to 6 months in the 3rd year. These internships are a way to create a professional network while helping guide students to choose between the different sectors and profesions in the fashion industry.

Students also gain experience by taking part in the Business Marathon in their 3rd year. This project is an opportunity for students to address real issues experienced by partner companies.

Study Abroad

As ESMOD is a member of the ERASMUS+ charter, we can offer our students study aborad opportunities in a number of partner schools within Europe: IED in Madrid and Universidade da Coruña in Barcelona (Spain) Academy of Fashion and Design, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg (Germany)

For the third year in Paris, it is possible to prepare a Bachelor's degree in Innovation Management at fashion companies, in partnership with CNAM as well as a Metaverse Fashion Management & Design certificate in partnership with DRESS X.
