7.3.2 Surface Water

The area coverage of inland water resource is 27,686 ha, out of which 8,321.33 ha are ponds and 19,364.91 ha are reservoirs. There are other streams and small rivulets

that form part of the Rushikulya river basin flowing through this district. Among them, the river Badanadi, Baghua, Dhanei, Bahuda and Ghodahad are the prominent ones.
