Resources and Practices to Create a Healthy and Eco-friendly Home & Environment
Join us as Merleanne Rampale, from SWALCO, walks us through the landscapes of our homes to learn about a variety of sustainable practices, as well as resources available to us in our local region. We will talk about food waste diversion, composting, recycling, creating a healthy home (and planet), and many other topics that are especially important today. PTC Outdoor Spring Native Plant Sale
The Patty Turner Center will be hosting its first Native Plant Sale of 2021. This outdoor, community-wide event will be held on Thursday, April 22nd and will be partnered with Red’s Garden Center of Northbrook. This event will be open to the public and feature a variety of native plants including perennials and grasses; all available for sale. To accommodate patrons safely, this event will be divided into two time blocks. Each time block will be capped at 50 participants. To attend this event, you must register in advance. Online, or call 847-940-4010 or email david@pattyturnercenter.org or nicole@pattyturnercenter.org and indicate which time block you prefer. No walk-ins will be accepted. Location: PTC Age: 50+

Parents' Night Out
Are your kids ready for a night out? Bring them to the Jewett Park Community Center for an evening of supervised, socially distanced fun of creating their own vehicle out of a cardboard box with prepackaged supplies for our drive-in movie! Individually packaged slices of pizza will be provided for dinner with a small bottle of water. Masks are required for staff and participants for the duration of the program, except for dinner. Staff will ensure all participants are spaced a minimum of 6ft apart during dinner and while creating their vehicle and watching the movie. Use section 01 when registering the first child in each family and section 02 for each additional sibling. Location: Jewett Park Comm Ctr Grade: K-5 Instructor: After School Club Staff

PTC Outdoor Antique and Classic Car Show
The Patty Turner Center Men’s Club will hold its annual Antique and Classic Car Show on Tuesday, May 18 from 9-11 in the Patty Turner Center parking lot. This outdoor event will be open to the public and feature fully- restored antique and classic cars. Join us as we step back in time and learn more about the history of these vintage automobiles and how they were acquired from the owners themselves! To accommodate patrons safely, this event will be divided into two time blocks. Each time block will be capped at 50 participants. If you wish to attend this event, you must register in advance either online, emailing david@pattyturnercenter.org or nicole@pattyturnercenter.org or call 847-940-4010 and indicate which time block you prefer. No walk-ins will be accepted.
