Best Workplaces For Commuters Award

Deerfield Park District is among a select group of workplaces in the United States that have achieved the Best Workplaces for Commuters National Standard of Excellence by providing exceptional commuter benefits.

• Teleworking program, which reduced at least 6% of commuting all employee commute trips

• Compressed workweek, which reduced 6% of commuting trips

• Emergency Ride Home program

Grill At Maplewood Park

We are incredibly excited to have Jacob Smith’s completed Eagle Scout Project at Maplewood Park. Jacob expressed interest in building a permanent community grill near one of our park shelters. He coordinated the project, fundraised to cover expenses and organized volunteers to help complete the project, including working with a masonry contractor. Thank you, Jacob! We know this grill will benefit the Deerfield community for years to come.
