Group Exercise Classes
Taking a group exercise class means making new friends and having fun while gaining strength, endurance and energy. Our skilled and certified instructors provide a welcoming, supportive environment suitable for all ability levels. Come out and enjoy your favorite classes and instructors with friends as you exercise and stay healthy together.
All-Access members and Group Exercise members have full access to group exercise classes. Non-members (16+) may purchase a one day guest pass to participate ($12 Resident/$15 Non-Resident). Please check SachsRecCenter.org for the current schedule.

Regardless of age, pre-existing conditions or fitness level, personal training is for everyone.

SPRING FITNESS STEP CHALLENGE!
We are excited to offer this fun challenge of exercise, wellness, and friendly competition. In this 6-week challenge participants will track their weekly steps to rank against the other competitors. The highest stepping WINS!
All you need is an accurate step/fitness tracker to record your daily steps. You will be required to report your weekly total steps by a specific date each week.
• The top overall steppers of the challenge will be entered in a raffle drawing for various prizes.
• The top overall total will be determined based on the number of participants registered.
Program Dates: Monday, March 20 – Sunday, April 30 (6 weeks)

SUMMER FITNESS CHALLENGE!
If you are new to fitness, or just want to stay active this summer, this challenge can help provide structure, and the motivation you need. The summer fitness challenge consists of 31 straight days of core exercises & jumping rope. The goal is to complete 10 minutes of rope jumping and have a stronger core by day 31.

Nutritional Counseling
During the 60-minute initial consultation, you will work with registered dietitian Kim Blum, MS, RD, LD to outline objectives, discuss lifestyle and current routine, and set small and reasonable goals. You will establish both individual and family goals and determine your personalized needs. Clients will leave this initial consultation with specific goals that they hope to achieve and a plan of action for success.
In-person, Virtual and Group Sessions are available.
One 60 minute session $90
Three 60 minute sessions $270
Amy joined the Deerfield Park District in January 2022 as the Fitness Operations Supervisor at the Sachs Recreation Center. She is responsible for the planning, organization, implementation and supervision of all operational and program functions as they relate to fitness. She was selected as the lead representative from the Park District for the Wellness Committee which consists of the Village of Deerfield and Deerfield Library. The committee focuses on many wellness topics for full-time employees such as physical, financial, spiritual, emotional, environmental, social, intellectual and occupational areas.
Amy is married, has two children and an adorable dog named Muriel. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and loves being outdoors doing activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, walking and pickleball to name a few.
Amy enjoys being a part of such a great community and helping to enhance the lives and well-being of others.
