efeated Mag&zine is a one-theme issue for young photography. We want the artists to express themselves, not only showing what they do but also the story within the photograph. The issue searchs for the poetry behind the shot. By proposing a topic we encourage the artists to relate their work to a subject supported by few words of their own.
A female body lying on a nature colored in grayscale...
Purity seems to be hard to reach. Purity is white and clean. Is simplicity, is light and is a woman. It has been called harmony. And for some is an utopia. 19 young pure photographers.

“Usually I am not satisfied with purity. When is too obvious, I like to disturb it a little. But in photography, the approach to purity, simplicity or unity is essential. Being pure and intense is difficult. When framing or assembling colors, I like to search this simple harmony, sometimes is frustrating...

“Involving the body in nature and finding what is really pure and cleansed. Finding comfort in the shadow. Character will reach nature. The sun observes like a lover hiding in the corner. Twist a bit and here is the lady with multiple profiles.
What is the body? Matter that takes freedom out of so many people that are like they are. Sara Rios &Pedro Magalhães thetrendreinvented Portugal

BOUT MIKAEL
Who are you? Mikael Kennedy.
Where do you come from? Where are you now? Where are you going? From Vermont, currently in Brooklyn, everywhere is the goal.
Which cameras you shoot with? Polaroid SX70 for art, Canon 5d Mark II for work.
What do you try to explore through your photographs? It changes often but there are underlying themes, travel has always been a constant, my work has always very simply been tied to my life, I don't see a separation.
Tell us about you upcoming exhibition “Between Wold & Dogâ€?. 'Between Dog & Wolf' is an exhibit of Polaroids that sum up the ending of my Passport to Trespass series. The title comes from the french saying: L'heure entre chien et loupe which translates to 'the hour between dog and wolf' that moment right before the sun sets, before the wild comes out and the domestic retreats from the night. The images were made at a time in my life when I felt myself torn by those worlds. Walking a ďŹ ne line of wild, and I started to look around for that in my friends and the world around me.
What is there between Wolf & Dog? It is that border of domestic and wild, the moment before the break. It is when the energy held in an object is at it's peak before it is released. That tension between the two. I have chosen neither side, I am trying to remain on that edge as long as possible. To exist in that golden hour. I have seen where each path ends in people who have come before me, I chose neither, to not give away my freedom and retire into a life of banality but also to not lose myself fully over the precipice, retain a footing in the world around me. There is a tension in the images, there is a wildness that is calling the viewer, the subjects, myself, something coming from deep in the wilderness beckoning us to go further. I think there is a beauty in that tension.
Do you see the picture before or after looking through the lens? Before. I usually have to back track for a second to capture what I just saw.
What color are you? Ha, I have no idea
Something you shoud have said to someone but you never did? I never really got to say goodbye to my friend christopher, I probably would just have told him I loved him, that his kids would be okay and goodbye.
A song, a movie, a book A Song: 'On the Nickle' by Tom Waits, A Movie/A Book: Jesus Son (both book and movie)
Have you ever been defeated? What happened? Many many times, we all lose at some point. Hitting the bottom is very good for everyone once..
An image that moves/inspires you? spend a lot of time looking at this old image of mine from Still, Not Dead “I actually because to me it represents a time when I was free, when things were pure. We had no idea what we were doing or why we were just doing it.

How do you relate your photographs to our issue topic? I think in part due to the Polaroid medium. “It's a pure image, no manipulation, altering,
it is a moment captured in a one of a kind photograph. It just simply is.

“Our garden, harmonious, timeless utopia. It's untouchable and safe by our own natures.
The blossoming flowers are the freshest answers and they taste like spontaneous nectar, sweet and spicy. Our entrance into the radiance of perception, balance and magnetism... no pure evil, no pure good... only purity. Mónica Lek Barcelona & New York
