020 was a momentous year for the worldwide maritime sector. January 1 marked the first day of a new era of IMOmandated low sulphur fuels. However, while that was perhaps the most widely publicized move by the shipping sector to clean up its act, it was not the only major upheaval. There was also unprecedented activity as vessel owners and operators sought a wide range of new ways to transform their environmental footprints in the face of combined demand from their customers and from society as a whole. Yet despite 2020 being an unusual year with historic challenges, DMT Marine Equipment ended it with a strong outcome, continuing to be a preferred supplier for a great number of tugboat owners and builders.
