WORKSHOPS

Make SCT a part of your classroom. Whether for a day or a multi-week residency, our adaptable workshops are the perfect supplement to engage your students’ bodies, voices, and imaginations.

Dramatic Connection Workshop | Kindergarten & Up

Together we will explore the themes, characters, historical context, and production elements of any SCT Mainstage show.

Story Drama | Pre-K – Grade 2

Go inside a story book, and experience the excitement of drama and working as an ensemble while actively enjoying the best in children's literature.

Ensemble Building | Grades 1 & Up

Strengthen your classroom’s community with a myriad of drama exercises that focus on 21st Century skills: critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration and teamwork.

Theatre for the Very Young Workshop | Ages 2 – 3

This specialized workshop incorporates storytelling, dramatic play, movement, and music to enhance learning.

Sensory Drama | Kindergarten & Up

Encourage your students of all abilities, particularly those with sensory processing challenges and/or sensory-seeking behaviors, to engage their minds, bodies, and imaginations in a dramatic exploration of the world around them! These workshops are specifically geared towards classrooms of students with physical and developmental differences.

Artist Residencies & After School Enrichment

Let Seattle Children’s Theatre support your curriculum by designing a series of classes to fit your needs. We can explore areas of theatre and other disciplines by using drama and kinesthetic learning techniques. Residencies range from multiple weeks, months, or to an entire school year. Classes can take place during the school day to fulfill Common Core Standards and EALRs, or as an after-school or community-based drama enrichment program.

At iFLY students learn real world application of math, science, and engineering. We build awareness of STEM careers and show students that STEM can be more than what they read about in a textbook.

iFLY is safe for all ages. Our expert instructors are professionally trained and make sure flyers feel safe and comfortable at all times.

Indoor skydiving at iFLY is a tremendous learning opportunity for classes of all ages. It’s also a blast!

· Real World Applications of STEM

· Aligned to State Standards

· Students Practice Science Process Skills

· Hands-On Full-Body Learning

iFLY Seattle Stimulates Minds with STEM Education Program

iFLY promotes STEM education with mindblowing learning experience to broaden students’ interest in math and science for K-12 and beyond iFLY, the world’s largest indoor skydiving operator, aims to encourage K-12+ students to pursue careers in the fields of math and science with an innovative in-tunnel STEM Education program.

iFLY allows its participants to engage in hands-on experiments to safely enjoy the thrill of flight while applying integral math and science skills to the experience. The educational program has been programmed and developed by local educators to align with what students are learning in the classroom today.

A field trip to iFLY includes a lecture, practical demonstration, classroom experiment and flight experience with iFLY STEM educators that aligns with Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core Math. The trip provides a unique, interactive and exciting alternative to a typical field trip. In addition to flight time for each student, they will also have the opportunity to test how different objects, such as water and tennis balls, behave in the wind tunnel.

iFLY’s patented Vertical Wind Tunnel technology uses clean-running electric engines and the most advanced propellers to draw air through its flight chamber. A method which produces a smooth cushion of adjustable floatation for a comfortable and safe flight.
