VORSTELIJK ORANJE / Het Koninklijk Huis is nauw aan Delft verbonden. Nederlandse vorsten worden in de Nieuwe Kerk bijgezet en het imposante praalgraf van Willem van Oranje geeft de Kerk koninklijke allure. Museum Het Prinsenhof vertelt het verhaal van Willem van Oranje. In Museum Het Prinsenhof – waar Willem van Oranje in 1584 werd vermoord – kun je de kogelgaten in de muur nog zien.

/ Delft ademt Delftsblauw. Uit alle uithoeken van de wereld komen bezoekers naar Delft om het Delftsblauwe aardewerk te bewonderen. Als je door de stad loopt zie je diverse op het Delftsblauw keramiek geïnspireerde kunstwerken in het straatbeeld. ROYAL ORANGE / The House of Orange has close ties with Delft. Delft’s Nieuwe Kerk is the official burial place for the Dutch Royal Family and William of Orange’s impressive mausoleum certainly gives the church a regal air. The Museum Het Prinsenhof tells the whole story of William of Orange, because it was in Museum Het Prinsenhof that William of Orange was murdered in 1584 – you can even still see the bullet holes in the wall.

Delft simply breathes Delft blue. Visitors come from the far corners of the world to admire the Delft blue earthenware. As you walk along the city’s streets you can see numerous works of art inspired by Delft blue pottery. MUSEUM HET PRINSENHOF / Op 24 mei 2014 heropent het museum haar deuren met interactieve presentaties en activiteiten over Delfts vernuft en wetenschap, Delfts blauw en Willem van Oranje. De nieuwe tentoonstelling over de Vader des Vaderlands gaat over zijn leven, de moord in Het Prinsenhof en over zijn legendarische nalatenschap voor Nederland. Over Delfts Blauw hoor en zie je hoe een Delfts product is uitgegroeid tot een wereldwijd icoon. Tot en met 23 mei 2014 is Museum Het Prinsenhof in verband met de herinrichting gesloten.
