WELCOME TO THE ITT CONFERENCE I speak on behalf of the ITT Board when I say I am delighted to be working with the Croatian National Tourist Board and Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board to stage this year’s ITT Conference in Split. For those of you who have never visited this part of the world, you are in for a treat. Split is a destination that encapsulates the perfect combination of old and new, mixing honeycombs of monuments and medieval passageways with lively bars and scenic views. You’ll find many world-famous landmarks here such as the Cathedral of St Domnius, Klis Fortress and Diocletian’s Palace, alongside cultural attractions like the Meštrovic Gallery. Overlooking the Dalmatian coast and just a stone’s throw away from Split, our Conference hotel – Le Méridien Lav, Split Resort – is located just 20km from Split Airport. With its own private beach, high-end spa, array of restaurants and unparalleled facilities, this seafront gem is the ideal location for us to stay and has proven to be a popular choice with our Members. CONFERENCE THEME There is no doubt that the current economic and political climate is highly unpredictable as wider issues such as Brexit force the travel and tourism industry to face unprecedented strategic and operational challenges.
