ONLINE QUALIFY EVENT

Upload of the sponsor’s logo and text to our Facebook Charterstars page.

Applications are accepted from March the 19 th until september the 26th 2012. After chefs have been accepted and put forward by their sponsors, the applicant is then required to submit at least one photo and one video of their culinary work. On the 26th of September the public’s votes on applicants’ photos and videos will be counted. All votes will be published on the charterstars website and the

FINalCHEfS COmPETITION EVENT

EVENT SCHEDULE The event will be held over 3 days with 5 contenders to compete each day. The Chefs will be given their ingredients at the start of the day and each day’s ingredients will be the same for each chef.

COOKING TIME LIMITS FOR THE FINALS - The ingredients will be submitted each morning with 15 minutes given to plan and write the menu - Preparation of the dishes will be allocated a 4 hour time limit in the morning - Dishes must be served within a certain amount of time. A 15 minute time frame will be allocated to plating each course.

The Chefwalk will provide all the facilities needed in order for competing chefs to prove their skills in a Master Chefstyle Cook-Off!

Judges and Stars Our judges, consisting of three well-versed culinary professionals, will award stars once the Cook-Off is over. Judges award stars individually and to as many chefs as they deem worthy, which means competing chefs have the potential to be awarded up to 3 Charter Stars each-one from each judge!

General Competition Rules Companies can sponsor an unlimited amount of chefs

There  is no limit on how many contenders can compete in the first round This competition will be held every year and is the ultimate opportunity to publicise and establish the culinary reputation of competing Chefs and their sponsors. The top 15 contenders will enter the final Cook-Off round.

ADVERTISEMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS The teams are able to advertise The Charterstars Online event on all electronic and print media of their choice.

Sponsors and Contenders have to get permission to advertise during the final Cook-Off Round. This includes the displayed merchandise, which include chef uniforms and personal equipment brought by the competitor for the event.

All participating Chefs must have signed up with Epic Food Ltd in order to compete.

All competitors need to have a minimum of 2 seasons experience as Charter Yacht Chefs, and this experience must have been accrued within the last 4 years.
