e all need food as fuel to survive. However how does what we eat really affect us, from our weight to our wellbeing. Well it is well known that eating fruit and vegetables, which are packed with nutrients (antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fibre) help us maintain a healthy weight by keeping us fuller for longer. It’s recommended that filling half your plate with vegetables and fruit at every meal is a great way to sustain a healthy balanced diet. Also swapping excessively sugary snacks for healthy sugars such as fresh fruit, nuts or vegetables will also benefit you throughout the day. Don’t fear the carb! For a long time carbohydrates have been misunderstood as a bad dietary choice when trying to be ‘healthy’. However carbohydrates are healthy and your main source of energy. Make sure when you eat carbs that it’s at your most active part of the day, for example before a workout. Think about what carbs you’re eating, porridge oats, potatoes and rice are great sources of good quality complex carbohydrates. Controlled

portions of these carbohydrates which are timed correctly can have a great benefit to your workouts and general energy throughout the day. Your diet needs to be varied so you get the right amount of nutrients exactly when you need them. Ensuring that you drink the recommended 2 litres a day of water is also necessary. Water aids bodily functions, ensures food is digested properly, and also hydrates the body which enables concentration and general wellbeing. Fancy a snack? Well maybe don’t reach for a

he consolidation of collaborative video platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo in recent years has significantly changed the way fashion brands communicate with their audiences. Fashion films have emerged as a new and revolutionary tool adopted by luxury brands at the start of the XXI Century to construct their brands. A sample of 62 fashion films from 2006 to 2016 was analyzed in order to describe fashion film’s anatomy and its main characteristics that constitute an especial type of branded content, originated by brands in their quest for exclusivity and authenticity. As a distinctive type of experiential marketing mostly used by luxury fashion brands, they would become a new communication strategy for mainstream brands, but also allow the discovery of a profound connection with consumers through audiovisual narration. Future drive With resources of traditional cinema, video clips or documentary genre, the ‘fashion films‘are the bridge chosen by the firms of fashion to connect with your audiences. A format that, although used for years, gains strength in the era of the pandemic, and manages to bring together among its ranks brands that, although they do not sell fashion, join this modality, making this resource a narrative genre that is consolidated. Presentations of collections that backbone the imaginary of the brands that have reinvented themselves during a new era of fashion challange. Articultion The language of cinema is universal, and telling stories through music, costumes or even locations, makes fashion films a genre with a narrative understandable around the world, in which consecrated film directors such as Roman Polanski, with ‘Everyone suits in Prada’ or Sofía Coppola for Cartier or brands such as Multiópticas participate.

McQueen Man New season British fashion, by Dennis Sterne.
S
Sarah Burton has been drawing the Alexander McQueen men’s and women’s pre-collections closer together in material and spirit, imbuing them each with a sharply tailored elegance, and a dose of street smarts.
Outerwear Outerwear is streetwise, and includes a long and breezy black parka cinched with a wide leather belt, while a trench with a long, chunky chain snaking around the waist nodded to London’s punk roots.
Inspiration For fall, Burton spliced razor-sharp formal suiting with workwear, creating cool hybrid suits from herringbone cashmere, delicate crinkly faille and stonewashed denim. Brightly colored bombers and puffers with the McQueen graffiti across the back have dramatic rounded shoulders, as do hefty knits with chunky zippers or sparkling embellishments such as hearts, doves and starbursts.
Essence The collection screams streetwear meets British punk from the various double-breasted silhouettes to the shortened pant hemlines and combat inspired boots. Incorporating deconstructed silhouettes of stonewash denim-bottomed but navy herringone wool cashmere blazer, paired with wide leg stonewash jeans brings to light how Burton has chosen to play with textiles and sharp tailoring.

Adidas ZX ZX 2K Boost technology in the running.
O
ver the past 71 years, adidas has been delivering footwear that occupies the intersection between culture and technology. And though several products from its extensive catalog have lived at this crossroad, the ZX line from the 1980s is arguably top of mind. The Three Stripes launches the ZX 2K Boost to acknowledge the line’s ceaseless pursuit of innovation. Rooted in the DNA of the ZX 710 from 1987, the forthcoming silhouette’s inaugural release dons a “Crystal White” and “Hi-Res Green” palette. Uppers are constructed from engineered mesh and feature a sock-like collar. Elsewhere, TPU heels and full-length Boost midsoles are updates to the PU heel stabilizer and EVA cushioning found on the original ZX 710. Boost technology The BOOST™ technology returns more

energy than any other cushioning material in the running industry. It combines comfort and returns energy at take-off thus gives an excelllent running experience. The BOOST™ cushioning is softer and returns more energy than the conventional EVA (A foam used in most running shoes’ soles). Until now comfortable meant: soft. Energy return meant: hard. Running shoes were either comfortable or fast. The Energy Boost offers both. Light, air permeable was designed to take the shape of the foot. The Energy Boost is comfortable without hindering. You may want to add a touch of class to your exercise routine in the gym or just make a statement in your day to day activities – either way, the adidas ZX range will have something for you. From traditional styled trainers with classic lines in understated tones to more modern-looking versions of the original adidas running shoe, this range has been designed with everyone in mind – men, women and children included.

Chanel 2022 A/W Couture Drawing inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel’s party pictures in the thirties, the collection feels very post-pandemic.
T
Chanel’s Virginie Viard stumbled upon a bunch of photos featuring Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel back in the thirties. ‘Coco’ looked like she was partying all night long, wearing a nineteen century gown – evoking a sense of escapism. Exactly that sense of escapism is what we need in today’s world, together with a touch of optimism. Inspired The fall haute couture collection combines soft brushstrokes inspired by movements of French painting with dresses blooming with English garden flowers. It experiments with
colorful tweed suits embedded with glimmers of hand-stitched sparkle along with intricate dresses layered with delicate tulle. The backdrop of the Palais Galliera was as theatrical as the collection itself. Located in the chic 16th arrondissement, the models emerged in between two columns and sashayed down a stone staircase, looping around the edge of the oval-shaped room, and walking back in front of the star-studded first row. After a year of digital fashion shows and canceled catwalks due to COVID-19, this show was a welcome spectacle celebrating fashion, art, and, of course, Paris. A collection to warm up the gray winter of 2022.

Spring Summer new season 2022 Kim Jones blends Dior’s history with modern contraction and ease, crafting a collection that merges heritage and the future.
W
hile we go farther into the future, fashion houses are gravitating towards the past through wardrobes encapsulated by archives and saluting the sartorial footsteps of their house predecessors – that is Dior included. The Vibe Evolution, transformation, and reworking are some of the keywords tossed into the Dior Men’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection. Dior Homme Artistic Director Kim Jones aimed to infuse the house’s past ideologies and rich history into the modern day menswear landscape. References to Marc Bohan’s 1960s work is reflected through graphics and inspiration pulled from the house’s 1947

beginning and Christian Dior himself are mirrored in the tailoring, floral patterns, and subtle, earth-toned palette. The vintage “Atelier Christian Dior” curvy typography inspired by Dior’s Parisian ateliers is stamped across a bomber jacket and a pinstriped jersey and snuck away onto the corners of trousers and jackets, giving ode to the house’s origins. Accessories like the Saddle bag and various pieces from the “Dior Lingot” line remind us of commuting or traveling, something that was eerily absent last year. Yet jump to present day and there’s cues akin to Jones’ sport and streetwear sensibility, found in constructed and contrast stitched windbreakers, puffer jackets, industrialized belted blazers, and Dior’s latest B30 sneakers.
