A new vision horizon...
It’s time to combat the doom and gloom! Life has been incredibly hard for all the past few years, but finally there seems to be more positivity, optimism and gratitude for life as it is. A sense of normality has returned, and we have grasped it with both hands!
With travel taken off pause, loved ones have been jetting off to far-flung corners of the earth to experience handfuls of rich culture, adventure and entertainment once again. It’s an aspect of our lives which many of us missed, and now it’s our reality to enjoy again! Of course, there are always obstacles to face when it comes to getting back into the swing of things, but it seems we are less prepared to dwell on these somewhat minor aspects now, after all that has played out across the globe in recent years.
The film and theatre industry has risen from its knees and is back to entertaining and playing out stories for us all to unwind to after a long day or heavy working week. A stark contrast to the time when we were all confined to our houses for months at a time.
Live music is another joy which has

returned with abundance! With festivals, shows and stadium tours now back and bigger than ever! It feels good to be enjoying each other’s company again and soaking up the atmosphere of all that is around us.
One hot ticket this summer was for Coldplay and their Music of The Spheres World Tour. I was lucky enough to bag a golden ticket to one of their London shows, and I must say they didn’t disappoint! The band that all ages has grown to know and love

created an experience we could all only dream off a short time ago.
The evening in a nutshell was one of pure joy, wholesomeness and somewhat disbelief - a stadium full of 75,000 people engulfed in celebration; It was a ‘had to be there’ moment.
The whole arena was lit with glowing multicolored wristbands amongst the backdrop of a mid-summers’ sunset, surrounded by thousands of people consumed by Coldplay’s most loved songs, which echoed around the jumping stadium – it was an epic moment of pure happiness and realization of what we’d all been missing.
It’s been a summer of resetting our wellbeing in any which way we feel important to us. Whether that be at a concert, the theatre, spending time with the people we love or alone, travelling, celebrating or just appreciating the small things. It’s a somewhat refreshing perspective to have. Even with so many things continuously interrupting our attention and day to day lives, a new vision has been formed from all we have lost and learnt throughout a very turbulent period of time, and now it’s ours for the taking!

Armani Man
New season Italian fashion, by Dennis Sterne.
Emporio Armani is known for its casual approach to striking Italian menswear - counterparting the luxurious and formal Giorgio Armani mainline. Emporio Armani’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection was a tender homage to equestrian lifestyles, picturing flocks of horses running through fields as the show commenced.
Handwriting
Over 80 looks were ushered down the runway ready for the race track, whether you’re mounting your own horse or observing others compete for the prize.
Dapper Emporio Armani men were primed for competition in slouchy suits tied at the waist and matched with bulky riding boots narrowed for the course. Breezy knitwear
was opened at the chest for increased ventilation, while pinstriped jumpsuits were guided to Italian summertime getaways.
Vibe
Elsewhere, collarless military jackets received tonal checkered patterns injected with Armani luxury, while bedazzled tanks and punctured trousers oozed with a boho chic mentality. Then, as the lights dimmed to mark conclusion, bunches of lavender fields overwhelmed the theatre screens, scenting the air with aromatic florals as six co-ed pairs chatted and laughed their way along the runway. Shirtless fieldmen showcased their chiseled torsos beneath leather straps and miniature shorts, carrying lavender bouquets in woven handbags.

Note: The idea of the Parisienne as a fashion ideal has a rich history. One of the reasons couture continues is, in a sense, to keep history alive, to retain manners and means of creation that would otherwise have been erased.
Chanel Couture
Chanel Couture from 2021/2025
CHANEL Couture - a study of French allure.
Born in Saumur, France in 1883, Coco Chanel grew from an inauspicious start to found one of the world’s most famous fashion brands. Now a global powerhouse with a business comprising haute couture, ready-to-wear, accessories, beauty and fragrance, its 110-year history is a lesson in reading the zeitgeist, responding to the mood of the moment and capitalising on a designer’s personal instincts and style.
Highlight S/S 2024
Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture collection imagined by Virginie Viard takes the button, an object as utilitarian as ornamental, into the world of ballet and dance. An expression of grace, freedom and precision in every movement, the pink and white aquarelle-dominated collection reveals the finesse of savoir-faire. Long dresses, short straight skirts, jumpsuits, tulle, pleats, lace, flowers and bows give rise to an ethereal
and feminine collection, worn over white ballet leotards and tights, and infused with references to contemporary culture.
A/W 2024/2025
A show at the Paris Opera, the studio team tapped into classic Chanel codes as the brand searches for a successor to Virginie Viard. The collection also telegraphed continuity with taffeta capes, crystal-embroidered evening gowns and a plethora of knee-length dresses and skirt suits, though its focus on sophisticated elegance could signal the house is righting its course after courting the youth vote with an athletic-inspired cruise collection. show built on the house’s longstanding partnership with the opera. A patron of the dance season opening gala since 2018, Chanel has designed tutus and tiaras for its Étoiles dancers and supported the creation of the institution’s junior ballet. www.chanel.com
Spring Summer new season 2025
Fusing savoir-faire of excellence, tracing a fascinating itinerary from Paris to South Africa.
From the artist’s studio to that of the couturier, the looks of the Dior Summer 2025 collection sketch powerful connections, more essential than ever between cultures and savoir-faire. Inhabited by Hylton Nel’s creative energy, the irresistibly sculptural silhouettes play with textures, shapes and patterns to reproduce – in couture form – his bewitching ceramics. The apron, a traditional workwear garment, adorns certain pants like a subtle belt, while others merge with the drape of a skirt, recalling the iconic Oblique curves. Combining tailoring and outerwear, elegance and functionality, the models bear rounded volumes, daring captivating mix-and-matches of materials, between enveloping knits and transparent effects. The Dior archives are reinvented, for instance a sketch of a coat (never made before) by Yves Saint Laurent for autumn-winter
1958-1959. The studs, signature elements of the clogs, are transformed into delicate embroidery. An intimate and universal, infinitely plural panorama of creation.
The Vibe
At the convergence of arts and craftsmanship, the scenography for the Dior Summer 2025 show echoes Kim Jones’ tribute to Hylton Nel, whose singular aesthetic infuses the collection’s looks. Monumental reinterpretations of some of his ceramics – taking the form of cats on the catwalk –represent a dream bestiary with surrealist overtones. A theatrical, dreamlike setting, initiating an impassioned dialogue between the worlds of the Artistic Director and the South African artist, to the tune of Kate Bush’s stunning Cloudbusting, specially recorded in a live version for the show.
Kim Jones says “Dior is an haute couture house: it is all about the clothes. At the heart of Dior is silhouette, shape, technique, and fabrication of the very highest order.”
Between heritage and modernity, Kim Jones reinvents the House’s archives.
Foot note
Dior Man
The clog – a staple of the workwear wardrobe – is transformed in turn into a biker boot or a derby, modifying its wooden sole and emblematic studded construction with an ultra-functional rubber sole.
Continuing the idea of the encounter between the beautiful and the useful infusing the collection’s looks, the accessories play on this virtuoso alchemy.

Lamborghini resurrects the Countach name and likeness. While it’s a homologation of the brand’s other hypercars, it’s a surprisingly faithful recreation of the original.

Lamborghini claims this powertrain will achieve zero-to-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and a 221-mph top speed. Before anyone texts their Swiss banker about a seven-figure wire transfer, all 112 copies of the 2022 Countach have already been spoken for.
Super drive
Limited-edition 2022 Lamborghini Countach. While it’s essentially a rebodied Aventador with the heart and soul of a Sián, the Italian automaker did an incredible job recreating the original’s iconic design for modern audiences. The reinvented wedge lacks the original’s pop-up headlights and the massive rear wing that adorned it in its twilight years, but the trademark hexagonal wheel arches and scissor doors are both present. Unlike the old Countach, the new one features a small electric motor powered by a supercapacitor that teams with a mighty mid-mounted V-12 to generate a combined 802 horsepower.
Underneath the Countach’s retro bodywork, which is made of lightweight carbon fiber, is a modern powertrain. Mounted in the middle of the car is an electrically assisted 6.5-liter V-12.
