9/11 Memorial DAY SERVICE PROJECT

Our biggest annual service project of the year was a success! Thank you to all the volunteers who came and helped out at the set up and takedown. Not only has this served as wonderful opportunity for key club experience, but also as a significant reminder to honor and remember the meaning of Memorial Day. We've been recognized through the words of our members, by social media, and even the NBC 5 news channel.

"I decided to come out today because, well for one, it makes a for a good service hour, and for two, it's just a really kind gesture."

Abhilasha Bhattarai "We do this every year. I've been coming since I was a freshman, and I think it's really important to get it done every year. It lets people know to never forget, remember the tragedy. I also think its one of the coolest and most fun service projects we have."

Megan Stuart "It's important just to come out and remember everyone who died on 9/11. The set up took two hours- we started with by lining up the flags with string...and used screwdrivers to put them in the ground. Overall, a really good experience."
