The project included creating care packages that would be donated to children in local foster home. On October 28, members met up at the local Zera's coffeeshop to create and write cards for this project.
Bags of Hope Part Two From November 26- 30th, members were encourage to donate hygiene products and books to drive boxes placed in teachers' rooms. Proof of donation was able to be submitted in google classroom and recorded for service hours. The high participation allowed for a successful drive, so a big thank you to those who contributed!
Bags of Hope Part Three The final phase of the Bags of Hope service project included sorting and bagging the goodies for each child. On November 4th, four key clubbers met up at club President Kate's house to finish up the project.
Bags of Hope Governor's Project Overall, this service project was a huge success! This is all thanks to the members who took the time to donate items, create cards, and help put together the packages. The Bags of Hope were donated to the Cumberland Children's Home and surely brought a warm and cheerful Thanksgiving.
The Sew Spectacular, an event hosted by a couple of our key club members, was organized to make masks to donate that would be donated to the Monsignor King Outreach Center. On November 14, Saturday morning, members went out to the Eureka Park picnic tables, gathered materials, and began creating masks.
our dail On November 24, the day before Thanksgiving, a group of our lovely key clubbers got together and volunteered at Our Daily Bread, a local soup kitchen. Members had the opportunity to help over a hundred people by distributing clothing, sorting and collecting mail, working in the kitchen, organizing and cleaning the area, and serving Thanksgiving meals.
