Engineering for Kids, ages 6-12 Designed to inspire kids to build on their natural curiosity by teaching engineering concepts through hands-on learning. Camp Invention, ages 5-11 Nationally recognized program focused on creativity, real-world problem-solving, and the spirit of invention. Youth Tech Inc., ages 10-17 Interactive computer camp that focuses on providing enrichment opportunities to kids in the world of computers.
SPECIALTY CAMPS Fashionista Camp, ages 8-13 Kids will create, design, sew, and model dream outfits and learn about the basics of construction and sewing machines. UNT Language Explorer, grades 6-11 Taught by UNT professors, kids will learn to construct new languages while writing in various scripts like Hindi and Chinese. Red Tiger Karate, ages 6-12 A summer ninja camp for all levels. Kids will learn with safe, ninja weapons like nunchucks while improving coordination.

OUTDOOR CAMPS Celebrate the amazing outdoors with half-day and overnight camps! Junior Master Naturalist, ages 6-11 Kids will explore nature, create, craft, hike, and journal with certified Elm Fork Master Naturalists. Junior Master Gardner, ages 6-11 Kids will explore the world of gardening with certified Denton County Master Gardeners. Teen Outdoor Adventure, ages 11-16 The zombie apocalypse is coming! Teens will learn survival skills like archery and fishing while also getting to rock climb, kayak and more. Possum Kingdom Cabin Camping, ages 12-16 Enjoy a traditional camping experience at Camp Grady Spruce! Campers will sleep in cabins and enjoy horseback riding, archery, and more. Girl Scout Outdoor Adventure, grades 4-8 Open to ALL GIRLS!  Girls in grades 4-5 will earn Eco Camper and Outdoor Art badges, and girls grades 6-8 will earn Archery and Outdoor Art badges.

LEARN-TO-SWIM SWIM LESSONS
Water Tots, ages 6 months to 3 years Parent and child aquatics builds ability through games and songs. Ratio is 10:1.
The Learn-to-Swim program teaches in a safe environment and is designed to allow kids to learn at their own pace and master the skills at each level, before attempting the next challenge. Scholarships are available based on qualifications. To apply, visit the NAT front desk. Morning and evening classes are available at Denton NAT and evening classes at Civic Center Pool. Preschool, ages 3-4 A great intro to the water. Kids learn floating, kicking, bubble blowing, and safety. Ratio is 5:1. Level 1: Intro to Water, ages 5+ This builds from beginner skills through the introduction of different strokes. Ratio is 6:1. Level 2: Fundamental Skills, ages 5+ This teaches alternating arm action, rhythmic bobbing, glides, and safety. Ratio is 6:1. Level 3: Stroke Development, ages 6+ Students learn rotary breathing, dolphin kick, backstroke, safety, and more. Class ratio is 6:1. Level 4: Stroke Development, ages 6+ This level focuses on endurance and refines strokes while adding new ones, like butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and more. Ratio is 6:1.
AQUATIC CAMPS Kayaking | Introduction to Paddling, ages 8+ Kayakers will learn the basics of kayaking in the NAT and water park lazy river. Great for the entire family! Kayaking | Introduction to Rolling, ages 12+ Kayakers will advance their paddling skills and learn to roll the kayak safely. Aquatic Explorer Camp, ages 7-12 Explore weekly aquatic themes summer with lots of pool time at the NAT and Water Works Park. Dolphins Splash Camp, ages 6+ Dive into wacky relay races, stroke clinics, water polo, and more! Kids must be able to swim one full length of the pool unassisted.
