ABSTRACT Ron phibun subdistrict is the old mining area. It is possible that dust which scattered from the rock and/or the mining waste containing by arsenic. By setting 12 dust and rain water collecting stations continuously for 1 year, dust and rain water samples were collected and analysed for arsenic concentration and study a relation between arsenic level in dust and rain water. The result of the study showed that the average of arsenic level in dust in the mining area is higher than the other sites. On average, arsenic concentrations in rainwater are lower than the drinking water standard by WHO (10 mg/l) or in the range of the uncontaminated area (0.55-12 mg/l) then it can be believed that rain water is safe water.
