Hello
As spring arrives, our programme of both indoor and outdoor events kick off with The Ladyboys of Bangkok and their new show – Forever Yours, which will be housed in the fantastic Sabai Pavillion on the Market Place. Staying outdoors, our St George’s Day Celebrations include a parade through the city, craft fair and lots of English eccentricity.
Stuart Maconie will take you on a nocturnal trip through Britain in search of fun during the Derby Book Festival, and then we head outdoors again as Oddsocks bring both Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing to Markeaton Park Craft Village in our Outdoor Theatre season.
Indoors, we’ll be playing host to 2Q Festival, a new multi-venue city centre music festival that will include big name headliners and emerging talent. In the Guildhall Theatre, Anne of Green Gables, an adaptation of the best-selling 1908 novel will be brought to life in a new stage production for the whole family.
