As the first buds of spring are starting to show on trees, the members of Nor’wood are already putting the pickle ball courts to great use! The days are longer and warmer and the children are eagerly awaiting the first sign that summer is almost here— the untarping of the pool! Each day as we drive by eager eyes are anticipating the absence of the tarp and the filling of the pool. With only a month left of school for many students, their excitement for another summer splashing in the pool and making memories at BBQ’s and movie nights grows. The 2022 Board of Directors (BOD’s) have been working diligently to secure vendors, complete minor facility repairs so that Nor’wood Rec. is ready for another summer of fun and memory making for the members. Our Easter Egg Hunt, our first event of the year, was an incredible success with just over 90 excited children participating. The faces of parents, grandparents and friends accompanying them was a welcomed site and only increased the BOD’s excitement for our summer events to begin! Please take a look at the calendar on page two for our events schedule. We, the 2022 BODs eagerly await the arrival of summer, and are looking forward to seeing you at any one of our events!

HOA VS. Recreation Association One common misconception about Nor’wood Recreational Association #1 is the fact that we are NOT an Homeowners Association (HOA). We are responsible only for the pool, tennis courts and park surrounding it. While we care greatly about our community, we do not have rights over the color of your home, how tall your fence is, or how many cars are parked outside of your home. Home-related concerns can be addressed by the City of Colorado Springs.
