Merapu Svaasthya “Spiritual Forces Of Wellness” Desa Seni’s Merapu Svaasthya spa program offers traditional and holistic treatments with Western and Eastern therapies, where healing and health are a focus, bringing together a team of specialists to restore and revitalize the body, mind and soul.

Merapu means “spiritual forces” and Svaasthya means “wellness.”

Whether you chose to relax in an outdoor bale, swim in the salt-water pool, join a yoga class in our Maha Devi Studio or have a treatment at Merapu Svaasthya, the team at Desa Seni will do its utmost to recharge you. Desa Seni is a true believer in the environment and our surroundings. We believe that other than wonderful Svaasthya treatments, our eating habits, activities and our well being are all integral parts to a healthier life. Balance is an integral part of health.

“Be the change you want to see in the world” - Gandhi The above quote perfectly describes our view and mission towards the world today. At Desa Seni, we fully support and strive for an eco-green, sustainable community.

We have built the entire resort with recycled, repurposed, or sustainable products from local sources. All the furnishings are antique, fully recycled, or re-purposed. We did not alter or change the natural land structure and local waterways, but rather respected and worked with the natural elements while protecting and preserving the environment around us. We work very closely with Eco Bali in our recycling endeavors.

We have also implemented different measures in order to best minimize our carbon footprint. We have set aside 40% of our land, which is dedicated to organic farming for our restaurant, enabling us to produce approximately 80% of the produce we serve in the restaurant.

We believe in supporting the local community and economy and therefore only work with local farmers and businesses to supplement our needs, farm to table. Our “reduce waste” awareness program has minimized the amount of garbage we produce, composting and recycling are big solutions.

Available 60 minutes Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes, IDR 400,000 Deep tissue massage is a therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas. When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are adhesions in muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Adhesions block circulation and cause pain. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement.

Hot Stone Therapy

Banana Leaf Body Wrap

We use banana leaves in this unique body wrap treatment, which combines the use of massage, banana leaves, coffee scrub and papaya to rehydrate and replenish your skin. Banana leaves contain large amounts of polyphenols such as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Polyphenols are natural antioxidants found in many plant based foods. Organic Facial 60 minutes, IDR 450,000 A real indulgence that is truly beneficial for your face and skin. This treatment starts with an Aloe Vera extract cleanser and is followed by an exfoliating scrub. A gentle massage is next before applying an organic mask that acts as an excellent pollution detoxifier removing dead skin cells and creating a healthy glowing complexion. Lie back and relax while the mask sets and your arms and hands are gently massaged. After the mask is removed, a toner is applied to help fight the premature signs of aging. Fresh aloe vera is finally applied to finish off the treatment. All the products used in this facial are our own organic products from our farms.

Cream Bath

60 minutes, IDR 400,000 Hair Cream Bath is considered one of the most effective treatments to maintaining healthy hair and scalp. A mixture of natural, organic ingredients such as Virgin Coconut Oil, Aloe vera and ginger is applied to the roots and massaged onto the scalp and the length of hair for nourishment. After the cream is applied, the scalp will be massaged. To maintain warm temperature of the cream in the hair, your hair will be wrapped with a warm towel.

The therapist will massage your neck and shoulders while the cream is thoroughly into the scalp.We will then wash off hair and dry lightly and apply an organic lavender essential oil hair tonic. Massaging your hair with the organic, home made Cream, deeply treats and engorges the fibers with nutrients and moisture for healthy, soft and shiny hair.

Holistic Bali Balinese Cleansing Ceremony 45 minutes IDR 1,000,000 “Adbir gatrani cuddhayanti manah satyena cuddhyati, vidyatapobhyam buddhir jnanena cuddhyatir.”

A Melukat ceremony aims to cleanse and purify the human body and soul in order to prevent havoc, bad luck and sickness by washing the body in holy water. The havoc caused by acquired activities and sins, whether originating from present life (sancita karmaphala) or from past lives (prarabda karmaphala).

The ‘melukat’ ritual is an effort of achieving self-purification and can be performed many times, according to the situation, needs and goals.

The priest uses “Tirtha Penglukatan”, which is first filed with Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (God Almighty) with blessings through prayer, worship (puja) with offering of flowers and incense and mantras chanted in Sanskrit. Our teaching staff can cater to all levels of yoga experience specializing in personal programs designed specifically for injuries, illnesses, and overall well-being.
