Inaugural Australian Sikh Awards Nominations Close on 20th
Sikh Youth Australia (SYA) and Young Sikh Professionals Network (YSPN) recently launched a major new initiative called the Australian Sikh Awards for Excellence to showcase the unsung heroes within the Sikh Community in Australia.

“We believe that there are some amazing
Sikhs across Australia who are making outstanding contributions to the social and economic development of Australia, and it’s time that we celebrate these successes,” said Satwant Singh Calais President of Sikh Youth Australia. These awards will also provide pathways for national recognition by mainstream Australia. Nominations have been called across 8 award categories. These include:

4Sports
4Arts/culture and music
4Community service
4Professional development
4Leadership
4Australian Sikh Women of the Year
4Australian Sikh Youth of the Year
