Design Factory developed the new identity and in-store graphics for Fresh, creating a whole new approach to local shopping and a real alternative to established convenience stores in Dublin. Following the success of the flagship store in Smithfield, Design Factory have overseen the brand implementation across further outlets around Dublin. Fresh satisfies your appetite for good food, from all your favourite brands to hand picked speciality goods.
The launch of the 3V prepaid card in Ireland and Europe represented a new safer method of paying for purchases online and unlike conventional credit cards, is available to anyone regardless of ďŹ nancial status. Design Factory developed the visual identity programme to cover all elements of the 3V brand from the core messaging to retail packaging and online advertising. Central to the design was the accessible nature of the product and the friendly customer service that the company used to deďŹ ne itself.

Design Factory created the new brand identity for the Road Safety Authority. Working with Senior Management, we developed the brand strategy and designed a highly visible identity and strap-line communicating the core message of this important new statutory body.
An evolutionary upgrade was our solution to refreshing the ODonnell Furniture brand. Operating from West Cork, ODonnell Furniture Makers specialise in hotel furniture, supplying Ireland, the UK and Continental Europe. The new identity was implemented across all print and online media, vehicle livery and signage.
Overall winner in the Robert Horne Paper Ireland - Ion Awards for Print and Design Excellence.
Design Factory created the corporate identity for the National Gallery of Ireland, which houses the national collection of European master paintings. The new Millennium Wing also incorporates two suites of galleries dedicated to both travelling international shows and domestic exhibitions.
Healthcare
A new distinctive brand has been developed for Mater Private Healthcare. Its purpose is to communicate the unique character and proud heritage of Mater Private and to consolidate its position at the forefront of healthcare in Ireland. Brand essence, positioning and primary brand messages were developed in consultation with the client management team. Implementation of the new identity is ongoing and will cover all expressions of the brand.
Haus is Dublin’s leading retail outlet for original, timeless, contemporary furniture. Arne Jacobsen, Charles and Ray Eames, Eileen Gray, Le Corbusier and Philippe Starck are among the international designers represented here. Haus has also organised many exhibitions and lectures on contemporary furniture design, most recently a showcase of the work of Hella Jongerius and Marcel Wanders from the Netherlands for Designweek 2006.
A new identity was developed for Blackpool Shopping Centre and Retail Park. Both areas are now united by a single logotype which helps to emphasise the strong sense of community in this area of Cork city. Design Factory developed the brand strategy and full identity implementation.
Design Factory designed and developed the new identity for Newlyn. As leading international property developers committed to maintaining the highest design and build quality standards, the identity needed to reect these values. The result is a simple, conďŹ dent brand mark which reects the ethos of the company, embracing modernist, functional design principles.
We were commissioned to design the new word-mark and monogram for Meisterwerk, an innovative company that offer Irish architectural design using environmentally conscious German building techniques and craftsmanship. The word-mark features unique custom-drawn lettering while the monogram signature makes reference to traditional stamps of quality.
The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, founded in 1839, is the representative body for professionally qualified architects in Ireland. We created an identity that links the various aspects of the institute together as ‘A Centre for Architecture’. A series of typographic marks link the Architecture Gallery, Bookshop and soon-to-be-opened Architecture Café into one coherent identity system.
We designed and implemented the new identity for Lalco, the property development group behind some of Ireland’s most exciting and contemporary building projects. Emphasising Lalco’s trademark commitment to quality and innovation in the built environment, Design Factory created a strong, highly-visible mark which can be flexibly applied across all areas of Lalco communications.
