Central Minister to get well soon RAIPUR: Appreciating the courage of Congress leaders in Chhattisgarh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi said the "cowardly" Maoist strike was not an attack on the Congress or its leaders but on democratic values. "I appreciate the courage and bravery of the leaders who inspite of several adversities, took a step and went there," she said addressing party workers at the Congress Bhawan here after visiting the injured in hospital.
"This is a cowardly act on the part of Maoists. It is not an attack on Congress or its leaders, but an attack on democratic values," she said while expressing grief and anguish over the Naxal attack. The attack is a "challenge for us," she said and added that people have seen that leaders have faced challenges and sacrificed their lives. Heavily-armed Maoists ambushed a convoy of Congress leaders in Chattisgarh's Sukma district, killing 27 people including senior Congress leader Mahendra Karma, state party chief Nand Kumar Patel and his son injuring senior leader V C Shukla and 31 others.

BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that the State Government will provide house rent to students of village who pursue education in cities. Under the scheme, if 5 students rent a house, the State Government will pay its rent. Shri Chauhan stated this while launching Atal Jyoti Abhiyan in Shajapur district. Developing time management skills is a journey What have you done today to move you closer to your dreams? Are you expecting to wake up one morning and suddenly do everything to achieve your dream in just that one day? Aristotle said, "We are what we repeatedly do." Success is a daily habit. It's the little things you do every day that will get you to your destination. Developing time management skills is a journey that may begin with this Guide, but needs practice and other guidance along the way. One goal is to help yourself become aware of how you use your time as one resource in organizing, prioritizing, and succeeding in your studies in the context of competing activities of friends, work, family, etc. Put first things first: It does not have to be a huge thing. Neither does it have to be something that requires a huge investment of time, energy or resources on your part. It just has to be something that you can do consistently. You will discover that you will eventually be doing more of that one thing than you could have thought possible when you started. Over time, it will make a huge difference. Stephen Covey, the leadership guru further adds that "it's usually not the dramatic, the visible, the once-in-a-lifetime, up-by-the-bootstraps effort that brings enduring success. Empowerment comes from learning how to use this great endowment in the decisions we make every day." We subordinate our dreams for our jobs, our bosses, our friends, our parents and a whole lot of other people and activities. We should instead place our hopes and dreams as the most important thing every day. The time management matrix: Most people spend their time doing things that are neither urgent nor important. One thing that immediately comes to mind is the person that spends every bit of his free time at the bar hanging out with the guys and just having a good time. I would not be very mistaken to say that such a person is not only drinking their income away, but also their dreams. Television is another not urgent and not important activity which, unfortunately, most of us spend a lot of our most productive time on. It is amazing how television sets in most homes are perpetually on and people are fixed on them like zombies, watching everything that is dished out to them! TVs have invaded our lives and crippled our dreams. Do the important things: What we need to do is concentrate on the things that are most important. The hard part is that these are usually the things that are not urgent. Yet they are things that will make the biggest difference to our lives. Why not turn off the television set tonight and read an inspiring book? Why not take a quiet moment to sit down and write down what you want to do with the rest of your life? Why not spend some time with your kids rather than with the guys at the bar? It is not always fun: As you can see, the important things are usually not the most fun or exciting things to do always. However, they must be done. There is a price to be paid for attaining greatness and at times that means doing things we don't necessarily enjoy or want to do. But you must do those things because you realize that your future depends on it. Think about this: if you only had to do the things that are fun and exciting at work would you get anything done? No. But you do it anyway, for the sake of that paycheck at the month-end. Why then, won't you do the things that matter most for your own life? NEW DELHI: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said India and China have the "wisdom" to find mutually acceptable solution to the boundary problem and the two countries have not shied away from addressing the vexed issue. Li also said China will support its enterprises to increase investments in India and help Indian products have access to Chinese market as he supported a favourable trade balance in a bid to decrease mounting bilateral trade deficit. The trade imbalance is currently around USD 30 billion. A day after two rounds of talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here, Li said China has the intention to "sincerely" resolving the pending issues, including that of cross-border rivers, and favoured increased bilateral relations between the "two big neighbours". Supporing a favourable trade balance and seeking to decrease
trade deficit between India and China, he said Beijing will support Chinese enterprises to increase investments in India and help Indian products have access to Chinese market. Addressing the Indian industry at a function organised by FICCI here, the Chinese premier said cooperation between the "two big neighbours" will lead to a "new paradigm" of cooperation. "India and China have not shied away from addressing boundary question, have wisdom to find a fair and mutually acceptable solution...We have been able to put all issues on the table," he said. He also quoted a Chinese proverb - a distant relative may not be useful as a near neighbour -- to emphasise on the relations between the two neighbours. Invoking ancient relations between the two, he said, "we will be able to take the bilateral relations to new highs.

Scientists say united on global warming, at odds with public view Ninety-seven percent of scientists say global warming is mainly man-made but a wide public belief that experts are divided is making it harder to gain support for policies to curb climate change, an international study showed. The report found an overwhelming view among scientists that human activity, led by the use of fossil fuels, was the main cause of rising temperatures in recent decades. "There is a strong scientific agreement about the cause of climate change, despite public perceptions to the contrary," said John Cook of the University of Queensland in Australia, who led the study in the journal Environmental Research Letters. "There is a gaping chasm between the actual consensus and the public perception," he said in a statement. "When people understand that scientists agree on global warming, they're more likely to support policies that take action on it." Global average surface temperatures have risen by 0.8 degree Celsius (1.4F) since the Industrial Revolution. Experts in Australia, the United States, Britain and Canada studied 4,000 summaries of peer-reviewed papers in journals giving a view about climate change since the early 1990s and found that 97 percent said it was mainly caused by humans. They also asked authors for their views and found a 97 percent conviction from replies covering 2,000 papers. The report said it was the biggest review so far of scientific opinion on climate change. "If people disagree with what we've found we want to know," said Mark Richardson of the University of Reading in England, one of the authors of the study that looked at English-language studies by authors in more than 90 nations. Another co-author, Dana Nuccitelli of Skeptical Science, said she was encouraging scientists to stress the consensus "at every opportunity, particularly in media interviews". Opinion polls in some countries show widespread belief that scientists disagree about whether climate change is caused by human activities or is part of natural swings such as in the sun's output. A survey by the U.S. Pew Research Center published in October last year found 45 percent of Americans said "Yes" when asked: "Do scientists agree Earth is getting warmer because of human activity?" Forty-three percent said "No". Rising concentrations of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, hit 400 parts per million in the atmosphere last week, the highest in perhaps 3 million years. Governments have agreed to work out, by the end of 2015, a deal to slow climate change that a U.N. panel of experts says will cause more floods, droughts and rising sea levels.

Speaking at Arlington National C e m e t e r y, o n t h e outskirts of Washington, the president said that he is concerned that the sacrifices US troops are making will be forgotten now that the majority of Americans "are not directly touched by w a r " . " To d a y, a transition is underway in Afghanistan, and our troops are coming home. Fewer Americans are making the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan, and that's progress for which we are profoundly grateful," he said. "As we gather here today, at this very moment, more than 60,000 of our fellow Americans still serve far from home in Afghanistan," Obama said, adding that troops and military families have raised with him "their concern about whether the country fully
appreciates what's happening". "As we go about our daily lives, we must remember that our countrymen are still serving, still fighting, still putting their lives on the line for all of us," the president said. Before speaking, the president placed a floral wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Also attending the ceremony were first lady Michelle Obama, Joint Chiefs chairman Gen. I have been quite impressed by people, festival, yoga and education system of India. This has been my first visit but I would come again to know more about it. These were feelings of Mr. Damian Konieczka of Polland, who visited Indian and happened to stay in Madhya Pradesh for few days in Parmanand Ashram to study yoga. He discussed alot about people, monuments, yoga and other issues with
crystal clear views. On expressing views over youth power, he said that youth is synonymous with power that could be utilized in proper direction and fruitful work to serve the society. Nowadays, youth of world are trying to achieve success through study and skills but they are getting lack of enjoyment. Life is vital to think positive and enjoy the nature of the world but all that needs is your precious time. To enjoy the quality time, the nature and your hobbies, you have to be with your own self and friends you like most. Youth power needs to meditate a bit so they could concentrate what they really want to do. According to him youth should go for their career that they enjoy as their hobbies. Surely, that would give them more energy to work and enjoy the job. Being student of anything is nice to learn things. Indian youth are talented in every respective. I wish them all success.
