Welcome to the 18th Annual Spring Edition Sale! We welcome you to Buck Cattle Company and to our big spring event. This sale comes fast for us; it seems like only yesterday we were in Denver. It’s a busy time of year for us but a very rewarding one, as we see how the fall calves come together and the spring calves are hitting the ground daily. As we look forward to 2014, I don’t believe we have ever seen the opportunities in the cattle business that we will experience in the next few years. This offering of females is backed by generations of proven cow families. They are bred to be champions and to produce champions. The Maine females are the deepest set we have ever offered in the Spring Edition. Several of these females are full sibs to past champions and many are new matings that we are extremely excited about. They include our best fall heifers and top picks from several of our customers’ programs. You won’t find a larger selection of high percentage Maine fall born show prospects in the country. The quality is here. This offering of Hereford females is very exciting. We are just getting our Hereford program rolling and this set has some major players. They represent the top cut from our fall program, the top end of Sullivan Farms Herefords, and our top picks from some of our customers’ programs. The MaineTainers, Chianina, Shorthorn, Charolais, and Crossbred females are stout!! There are some really unique females in this offering that can handle the most rigid competition!! I don’t believe there is another cattle operation that believes anymore in the Junior heifer program than Buck Cattle Company. We know the value of our youth in agriculture and the value of agriculture in our youth. If we can be of assistance in anyway don’t hesitate to call. We have been fortunate to have sold some higher priced cattle in years past, but trust me there will be several great buys, so pay attention and remember they wouldn’t make this sale if they weren’t special. Xaria and Macie had a great show career. In 2011, she was Champion Maine and Reserve Supreme in San Antonio, in 2012 she was Champion Maine at Fort Worth Junior Show, and Champion Maine and Supreme Champion Female in San Antonio. She was a great show heifer but as you can see she is a great producer as well. When I was picking up this heifer I saw Xaria in production, she is an incredible female with a perfect udder. I am sure this is just the first of the great ones we will see out of Xaria. • She has a brown tint to her hair in her picture but it’s just the dead baby hair she will be black. She’s the real deal.
