Debbie Dadon held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Trustee of the Besen Family Foundation for 20 years before moving into her current role as Chair of the Besen Family Foundation. Debbie’s philanthropic contribution has covered a broad spectrum of matters, but the main focus is on the issues and needs of local communities. Her leadership has been particularly evident in the areas of disadvantage, gender equality, intergenerational philanthropy, and disability.
Debbie has had a lifelong passion for teapots and, as such, has amassed a collection of beautiful, original teapots mainly created by Australian artists but also some created by international artists. Combining her passion for teapots with her commitment to community, Debbie is offering the teapots from her collection for auction to raise funds and awareness for the Women’s Property Initiative (WPI).
The Women’s Property Initiative creates new beginnings for women and children at risk of homelessness by providing long term housing solutions. Debbie has been a dedicated and personal supporter of the critical work of the WPI for many years and is delighted for this opportunity to increase awareness and support of the WPI.
