Enthusiastic Part 1 Architectural Assistant with over one year of practical experience and a recently completed BA in Architecture. Excited to take on a role that allows me to demonstrate my strong work ethic and a diverse skill set developed throughout my academic and professional journey. Having successfully completed my final year in BA Architecture, I bring a well-rounded understanding of design principles and proficiency in both manual and digital mediums. My dedication to effective communication is evident through my adept use of tools like Revit and the creation of physical models. Throughout my academic tenure, I developed a passion for designing in real-world contexts. I thrive in projects where I can experiment with abstract forms and subsequently translate them into practical structures that align with programmatic requirements and site context. Beyond university, I proactively applied my architectural skills to small-scale projects, gaining valuable insights into their professional application. This hands-on experience has expanded my perspective and honed my problem-solving abilities. In addition to my architectural pursuits, I bring a robust background in the senior levels of the hospitality business. This experience has equipped me with invaluable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and adaptability in a professional environment. My multifaceted background positions me as a well-rounded and versatile professional ready to contribute effectively to architectural projects.

Situated in the Abingdon Ward within the London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, ‘The Seraphine’ posed a complex yet thrilling challenge. Nestled in a conservation area, adjacent to a listed building, and occupying a prominent corner position, the project required a meticulous approach. The design philosophy aimed to rejuvenate the building’s character by restoring it to its original appearance and elevating its aesthetic to seamlessly integrate with the existing streetscapes.
The plant allocation strategy for the scheme provides sp proposed massing. The proposal has been designed to the plant’s visual impact locating the plant primarily at ba whilst the rear roof plant is barely visible from street level

Yoga House Competition
Yoga House in the Bog Programme Small building, Living and Yoga Space, environmentally friendly Site
Latvia, Baltic Sea
Year
2021-2022
Champions Julian Fok, Gareth Cotter, Elvira Salyahetdinova Group Devis Tako The competition site is characterized by lush muddy bogs encircled by a meandering river and dense forest. A solitary cabin, nestled within this natural habitat, stands as the sole architectural presence. Upon visiting the site, the design team was captivated by its richness, inspiring the proposal to both preserve and emulate the area’s natural beauty while capturing its poetic essence. Taking cues from the organic forms of pinecones and mushrooms abundant on the site, the design reflects the mushroom’s shape, allowing the proposal to delicately “touch the Earth.” Embracing the Fibonacci sequence observed in pinecones, the roof takes on a unique form that not only introduces natural light but also serves practical purposes—providing shading, collecting rainwater, and harnessing renewable energy. The proposal seamlessly interweaves timber structures, functional elements, and diverse natural inspirations, creating a harmonious device that honors the site’s innate beauty. It envisions a space that fosters inner serenity for yoga practitioners, establishing a direct connection to the tranquil Latvian surroundings. This innovative design not only respects the site’s ecological balance but also provides a sanctuary where nature and architecture coexist in a symbiotic dance.

Flat Iron Theatre is set to become a notable landmark along the Victorian rail viaduct, ready to unlock the potential of Flat Iron Square. The ground-floor market stall will serve as a vibrant hub, sparking engagement within the local communities of Southwark Council and bringing life to the site. At the core of the building’s philosophy is community, epitomized by the Open Air Theatre. Nestled amidst the rhythmic traffic of passing trains, this space is designed for communal use, inviting gatherings and performances.

In addition, the formal theatre is envisioned as a dynamic facility fostering young artist development, training initiatives, and the creation of new works. The rooftop bar, a distinctive addition to the site, promises panoramic views of the city, offering a unique perspective to visitors. With community at its heart and a commitment to artistic growth, Flat Iron Theatre seeks to weave itself into the cultural fabric of Southwark, providing a multifaceted space for both local engagement and artistic expression.

This project is rooted in the historical significance of Greenwich as a Center for Global Telecommunications in 1850 and a thorough examination of the site. The concept revolves around the creation of a factory dedicated to manufacturing subsea cable trees, utilizing damaged and old subsea cables that were historically employed for data communication, but now repurposed to block electromagnetic signals and establish a Faraday cage. The design incorporates a public viewing platform where data signals are intentionally blocked. However, strategically positioned key views and seating areas are meticulously crafted to encourage social interaction. This innovative approach not only pays homage to Greenwich’s telecommunications legacy but also transforms historical artifacts into functional and interactive elements that engage the public in a unique way.
