So What Exactly Is Design Thinking? 1) At its fundamental level, ‘Design thinking’ is a problem-solving method. 2) Furthermore, it’s a ‘deeply human’ and non-linear process 3) One thinks like a ‘designer’ to develop an innovative solution that addresses people’s needs. 4) It places the people at the center and then thinks not just about a solution but also about how those people will feel when they use the solution.

Empathise The Design Thinking process starts by understanding the problem you are trying to solve. This is achieved through consultation with experts and engaging in observation, empathy for others’ experiences, and personal immersion into a physical environment so that your knowledge can be more thorough.

What is Empathy research? Designing with empathy is the first step in design thinking because it allows us to understand and share what others feel by putting ourselves into other people’s shoes. As a result, we can connect on an emotional level about their problem or circumstance, which helps to produce successful solutions!

What is research? Research can be defined as creative and systematic work undertaken in order to increase our understanding of a topic or issue. This includes collecting, organizing, and analyzing information to better understand the reason behind a topic or issue.

#dharammentor

How do we understand something? Of course, by asking others, talking to them on the subject. Interviewing is one of the modes to understand what the user thinks and feels about a subject. How does this make you feel? What do you like or dislike?

Mr. Zee drinks coffee every day. He gets ready to go to the office at 8 am; usually, he walks to work and is a heavy smartphone user to carry out his daily tasks. He likes to have his morning coffee, but he doesn’t get time to prepare or stand in the crowded cafe long line. So, he enjoys picking up his coffee from a well-known cafe on the way to the office. However, the Cafe is usually crowded in the morning. Hence Mr. Zee uses the App to book the coffee before reaching the cafe. He finds booking on the App is highly convenient and overwhelmed by the information technology; he thinks he doesn’t have the patience like others to wait in the queue for his morning coffee. Mr. Zee’s main reason to have his morning coffee is to get that caffeine boost of energy to start his day. #dharammentor
