What is Visual Grammar?

What is visual Grammar? Communication requires language. Whether it is in the case of aural-communication (the spoken words), or in the case of gestural-communication (as in sign language). Similarly, visual-communication relies on visual elements (forms, shapes, colours, etc.)

Why is visual Grammar important? The more you understand any language (and its grammar), the better you can communicate. The visual language of design is no exception.

How is visual Grammar going to help? As we learn to use visual grammar, it enables us to communicate (visually) effectively. (posters, ads, hoarding, packaging, retail display etc.)
