EDITORIAL

The release of the DN REVIEW is the first step for us. In spite of all the hindrances we tried our best to present before you. It took a great effort for us to complete this work. We feel that it has been a real challenge for us. Our spirits were never down and we worked hard to get the review published. “Smart work along with hard work is vital”. Finally, the review is published. As it is a Review we have solely included interviews, profiles and some non-technical articles. A photo gallery shouldn’t be missed though. Embellishing the magazine we added few photos. With this we hope that our work is acknowledged and all the expectations have been reached. Also we wish that the DHIYONAHA MEDIA BOARD-I do not regret and feel happy in handing all the duties righteously. We promise we will do our best. 

Dr. Ch. Sridhar Reddy Vice Principal

Dr.Ch. Sridhar Reddy, eminently known for his patience and thoughtfulness. The way he receives staff or students is what makes him an ideal teacher and a flawless team leader. He is an eminent lecturer well-known for making his students excel in their innovative experiments in their subjects. He is having an excellent academic performance also; completed his B.E (Mechanical) in University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad, M.Tech in M.E (Design Engineering) at IIT, Delhi and received his Ph.D. in Stress Analysis from IIT MADRAS, Chennai with the thesis titled “Pseudo elastic analysis of material non-linear problems using Element Free Galerkin method”. He started his career as a lecturer at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal, later holding various capacities such as Assistant professor, Associate Professor, Head of the Department for M.E Dept. in JNTUH College of Engineering, Nachupally, Karimnagar Dist. and currently holding the duties of Vice Principal at the JNTUH College of Engineering Manthani. He has a good teaching career with 6 years of experience dealing with various Mechanical subjects such as Theory of Machines, ANSYS, Machine Design and Engineering Drawing. He also has a good industrial experience for three years two months as “Team Leader” at VJ Core Soft Pvt. Ltd., Pune. He has published his research papers in about two international journals and has presented his papers at 8 national and international conferences. Under his guidance 4 students have obtained their doctorates and 6 students have successfully completed their projects in M.Tech.

A SUCCESSFUL C.R.

As we all know that CR is a person who leads the whole class in both academic and co-curricular so that every student in the class will be able to explore his/her capabilities in all aspects. So let’s see how got in to this field work.



How a C.R should be in your point of view?

“Class representative” it self indicates that he is the first point of contact with all the institute authorities to his class. He is collectively responsible for all the decisions for the betterment of his class. He is the one who addresses concerns, issues of individuals to represent them with near authorities and has to lead the class by inculcating good qualities in them. He should co-ordinate & mingle up with them easily. He should be able to recognize the hidden talents in his classmates and should encourage them in every aspect. He must be able to find his way even through the tough times as well.



What made you become a C.R?

“You have to develop ways so that you can take up for yourself, and then you take up for someone else. And so sooner or later, you have enough courage to really stand up for the human race and say, “I' m a representative. “ -MAYA ANGLEOU These are the words which inspired me to be a C.R. It’s my passion to be a leader. Moreover it gives opportunity to voice the opinions, concerns and ideas of one’s classmates to help them in their way. This position basically inculcates leadership qualities in any individual. I chose to become a C.R because it is the best way to guide my fellow friends in a purposeful manner.



What was your feeling when you were elected as a C.R?

Obviously I was really overwhelmed with joy when I first heard of it. I felt very special, as I was recognized amongst others. It was pleasure working as a C.R, leading our class and supporting them in all respects when necessary. I even had a good faculty support on watching upon my leadership skills. I am glad to work as CR all through my graduation.



What was your first step after being elected as a C.R?

Firstly I took an initiative to speak with the principal to bring efficient faculty and provide minimum university facilities and as time passed by tried to cope with the predicaments related to our class.



What qualities must a C.R possess?

He should be capable to manage and should be regular to class. He should not take the advantage of the post and should work with utmost sincerity to his post. He should feel free to express his views and opinions among his classmates without any hesitation.



What were your fruitful moments in your long term as C.R?

There are many such moments. One of the best moments was organizing freshers to juniors and a special farewell to our beloved Seniors. I’ll never forget the first day being the C.R of our class. 

Other than the mentioned qualities what more good qualities a CR must have?

He must be able to handle the pressure even in the critical situations and act in such a way as to normalize the conditions. He should not forget his responsibility as a C.R because the place has all the complexity it has to. All that one need is to have is patience and answerability.



What was the response you got from your class mates? How was the support you received from your peers when you got elected as a C.R?

My peers were very supportive. I always got a positive response from them and they were too co-operative. They never tried to stumble me in my way. I never got any negative reactions from them. I would never forget their support. They encouraged me in every aspect. They were always at the door to help me in making fruitful decisions. They were equally responsible in my every step of decisions since it is always a success of team in the name of a CR. Without their support and help my job would never have been so easy and facile. 

Have you ever come across a situation where you thought of stepping down as CR?

Frankly speaking there are critical situations even. But due to our mutual understanding and the friendly and jovial atmosphere among us we overcame the toughest times. So I never ever thought of stepping down the throne.



What do you think, have you done justice to your job?

Obviously yes, because I was pretty sure with my work and with my peers who assisted me. I know that all this could not be done all alone. I went up to solve all the difficulties in my class and today my batch seems to be one of the best ones and what’s still needed to reflect our work? So, I do feel have done justice to my job and still there is a zeal in me as a C.R

SAC EVENT REPORT

HELD ON: 7 & 8th of August. TOPIC: First day: online shopping Second day: tablets vs text books. SAC Board of Director: Abhinav Gampa Event Organizers: Avinash Samala, A. Sai Krishna. Event Coordinators: Shiva Kalyan, Uday Kumar Kuchana. JUDGE: Dr. Shikha Bhatnagar, who all along the debate graded students based on their performance and finalized the winners. HOW EVENT WAS HELD: Guidelines were setup for the participating group of

students gathered in a room by its Deputy Executive Mr. Tejaswi Manthatti. They divided the participants into six teams. The topic for first round was ONLINE SHOPPING. The debate was held for two teams at a time. The debate session went on rising some interesting topics like, in India there is no permission for trading electronic goods (MTEG).Flipkart selling many goods of multi brands has its license issued from Singapore, not from India. Indian ethnic ware is exposed to the world. Famous Indian designers like Priyadarshini rao got fame in this way. Credit card pay system assisted IT department in catching the culprits giving false income details. Same topic was given for all the six teams in the first round. The judge took great effort and after keen observation judge finalized 24 students out of 70 for the second round .They were divided into two groups and were given the topic of pros and cons of tablets and text books. After the second round 12 of them were declared as winners. Winners were M.Harish Kumar, K Tejaswini, Samuel Jonathan Johnson, Arvapali Vinay Sai, A.Mahesh Kumar, V.Sandeep, P.Sankeerth Reddy, Ananth Nag, G.Sethu Madhavi, P.Sahitya, M.V.Jhansi Patel, M.Aishwarya. While the runners were S.Vikram, I.Madhukar, P.Srikanth, G.S.S.Praneeth, U.Sri Hari Vishnu, Md.Nadhem Khan, Ch.Suprabath, G.Surya Prakash, Gootor Uday Chandra, V.Tejeswi, Jawariaya.

INTER JNTU SAGA By G.Abhinav, P.Raveendra The annual JNTUH's SAGA - inter JNTUH and its constituent colleges tournament was held from 27th to 29th march 2014. Where several games were conducted such as Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Basketball, Table Tennis and Throw-ball. The sports team of JNTUHCE Manthani was taken to JNTUH Hyderabad after a great effort of practice. The continuous practice sessions and simultaneously the regular inspiring speeches by our Physical Educational Director (P.E.D) Dr.P.Krishna Reddy let the students keep up their spirits high. F. The tournament started with lighting a mashal (torch) by our vice chancellor P.Rameshwar Rao, in order to ignite the Yudh 2K14 Jyothi, this inspired a spirit of sportsman ship and a great hope to achieve the target. The YUDH started with a great enthusiasm. The first game played was volleyball. They bagged a third price in it. In spite of the tough competition JNTUCEM Girls team proudly secured third position. Albeit they also secured prized in Throw ball and Table Tennis. Now coming to one of the most interesting sport i.e., Kabaddi, we had an easy match with JNTUHCE sulthanpur and we moved to the semi-finals. The semifinal match was between the JNTUHCE Manthani and JNTUH P.G College. This match was one of the relics of YUDH - 2K14, as our college principal Prof.B.Balu Naik attended the stadium specially to see this match. The team leader Mr.M.Akash Kumar performed an extraordinary play during the match by gaining three points in single ride. The entire credit of the match goes to him. He was the backbone for the match, one the main person who made team win in semifinals. Mr.B.Mukesh kumar, Mr.S.Madhukar, Mr.P.Naga Sandeep Reddy, Mr.K.Rakesh Reddy also played very well. At a critical moment, Mr.J.Pawan Kumar became the turning point for the match. After lots of efforts they put in, they moved into the finals. The final match was between JNTUHCE Manthani and JNTUH I.S.T, in this match Mr.S.Prudhvi Raj, Mr.Nithin, Mr.R.Prem kumar played really well and it was a hopeful beginning. After crossing several difficulties during the match and also the best co-ordination among the team members which was maintained by Mr.M.Akash kumar helped the team achieve the second position.

The most loved game CRICKET comes into form. The tournament held was really good. We had a great number of audiences. The scenario totally resembled Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai). The first match was held between JNTUHE Manthani and JNTUH P.G. College. In this match JNTUHCE Manthani played efficiently where the players have done an extraordinary job in bowling and fielding, that made the batting easier and the team moved to the semifinals. The second semifinal was with JNTUHC Jagityal. Unfortunately, in YUDH-2K13, our team knocked out from the tournament. So, this semifinal was a real prestigious challenge. Winning the toss, JNTUHCE Jagityal opted to bat first. A strong bat up line was set and in order to compete with such a strong team JNTUHCEM college students have to be well prepared to put in all their efforts in fielding as well as bowling. Not to forget the most courageous player Mr. P. Raghavendra, who in spite of getting wounded during diving played efficiently forgetting the pain and bagged a wicket. Coming to the batters we have an efficient player, K.Shravan (MIN), Sports SECRETARY JNTUHCE Manthani who is a n excellent player and surface his skills at crucial time. He had good innings followed by Druva Kumar (Civil) who was also a great support to our team. Mr.Ananth Nag (Mech) played extraordinarily, was titled as the UNIVERSITY BOWLER, and is the member of PROBABLES. Mr.G.Rahul have done a splendid wicket keeping. The next match was with JNTU Hyderabad. Although a tough match but the continuous coordination and under the captain ship of Mr.Durga Prasad the team boosted up with energy. Mr.Sudhakar an excellent middle order batsman was a strength in the match. Albeit we have secured the runners up position but nevertheless stood as tough competitors. It ended with a prize distribution ceremony and followed by a vote of thanks for our chief guest Prof.P.Rameshwar Rao, vice chancellor.

Mr. M.Akash Kumar, Sports Secretary, JNTUHCEM SAC. The second sports secretary at JNTUH College of Engineering th Manthani, M. Akash Kumar belonging to the 4 year Civil Department. He also worked as NSUI and TJAC president at JNTUHCEM unit. He achieved many state, district, inter college and school level awards and rewards in the field of sports from his childhood.

A MAN WITH A MISSION BRIG P GANESHA M,

A retired army employee and leader of a working group, which an engineering graduate from Osmania University. He was initiated innovation into Indian army. He was an initiator to strive to bring out rural talents and as a part, founder of “Honeybee Ap” at Hyderabad to carry the mission of “NATIONAL INNOVATION FOUNDATION“ in Hyderabad which scouts the grass root innovators and endeavours to bring out their hidden talents into the limelight for the benefit of society. He and his volunteers have been working so hard to bring out the grass roots innovators to be helpful to society being helped by them. GRASS ROOT INNOVATIONS: Many a times we have thought of a washing machine consuming no power or a machine for a climber to climb a tall tree or a machine for spinners to reduce their p hysical stress but still they’re left just as thoughts!! Yes!!!! They are done. People from many rural villages with such innovative thoughts made their dreams come true. Brig P Ganesham has been introducing this people to world, exposing their talents to the society thereby impinge thinking into people. He has been addressing students in various parts of the state highlighting the grassroots innovators and also he has been conducting missions like “SHODH YATRA” and “GYAN SHODH” as social internships t o students making them aware of the real life innovations. “I AM RETIRED BUT NOT TIRED”

India is a land of spiritualism. The monks and the sages declared long long ago before the people of this country that real happiness of life consists in renunciation, love and fellow feelings. These two great books – the Ramayana and the Mahabharata have been the sources of inspiration to most of the Indians since their composition. These two great epics – the Ramayana and the Mahabharata speak highly of ideal way of life. They teach us what life ought to be. The Ramayana and The Mahabharata are not simply stories of heroism, but they embody the socio-religious ideals of millions of people of India known as Hindus. Rama and Krishna are thought to be incarnations of God and their ways are to the believing Hindu’s the ways of God. They are worshipped in temples and remember in time of stress and strain in national and personal life. The freedom movement of India received huge inspiration from the Gita. It’s ideal of doing work without any expectation of result colors the dram of many Indians.

Importance of Ramayana and Mahabharata

Importance of Ramayana:  Ramayana deal with the various aspects of man’s life – love, duty to superiors, treachery, devotion to parents, selflessness and what not.  These characters of Ramayana stand as symbols of love, charity, patriotism, conjugal love, and obedience to parents, self-sacrifice and the like.  The characters of Sita and Urmila stand for ideal womanhood.  The character of Ravana teaches us how a man can ruin himself for his own follies and unholy ambitions. Importance of Mahabharata:  Everybody knows how the Pandavas were deprived of their legitimate claim for the throne of Hastinapur. Who does not know how Draupadi was insulted in an open court in presence of Bhima, Dronacharyya and others for no fault of hers and how Bhima subsequently took revenge in the battle of Kurukshetra?  The character of Karna teaches us how to rise to eminence by dint of self-effort and perseverance caring little for the dictates of fate. This character is the emblem of munificence, sacrifice and valor. Conclusion: Thus the plots and the politics of the Mahabharata are really very absorbing, interesting and exciting to sum up in fire, we may unhesitatingly say that the influences of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata upon the Indians are tremendous and these two great epics of India have been molding the sentiments of the Indian people from time immemorial.

Report on JNTUHCEM SAC UG CONFERENCE Safety And Security Engineering 2K14 SAC committee of JNTUH-CEM has conducted a one day National Level technical undergraduate conference on “Safety and Security Engineering (SASE)-2014”. The main motto of conducting the conference was to emphasize the innovative views and intellectual ideas of students on the cited areas of interest and thereby help them to gain the knowledge of prime importance. Topics like risk analysis, assessment and management, system safety engineering, Incident management, Information and communication security, natural disaster management etc were the domains for ideas. The Convener of the program was Dr. K. Prasanna Lakshmi who extended her constant support to make the program successful. Without the support from Principal and the Vice Principal the event couldn’t have been this successful .Students from various departments have come up with their thoughts and ideas to present their papers on topics related to their areas of interest. Also our special guest Dr. P. Krishna Reddy, Ms. Saritha, Ms. Manaswini. The program was hosted by SAC committee members K.Uday Kumar and V.Aveesha and was coordinated by S.Kranthi Kumar, G.Abhinav, S.Nagender Reddy, K.Vamshi Chary, S.Vamshi Bhagyaraj who was very hostile and maintained a great patience throughout the event. The program has been organized by Tejaswi Manthatti, A.Sai Krishna, S.Avinash, T.Sai Krishna, K.Nagaraj and the designing of all the posters was done by G.Shiva Kumar. It was campaigned by B.Siddharth Reddy. A great thanks to the sponsors Shaik Sohail Pasha, P.Ravindra, Satyam Madhukar, B.Jagadish Naik and registers M.Abhilash, and P.Vikas Kumar.

Participants presented papers on various disciplined topics like system safety engineering, transportation safety engineering, cyber security, smart grid technology, anti bacterial appliances, information and communication security etc. People also elucidated solutions for various problems like pros and cons associated with cyber world and presented possible ways to live in a safe and secured cyber world. Dr.Shikha Bhatnagar Madam showed great patience in listening to all the presentations along with other lecturers. Judges posed a variety of questions and audience also actively participated along in questioning. Our young techies came up with thoughts like, â&#x20AC;&#x153;We the human beings are responsible to the destruction of our beautiful world which can only be overcome by shaping our brains with new thoughts and aiming them at our bettermentâ&#x20AC;?. The afternoon session was no less to the morning session participants without getting tired came up very ingenious thoughts. The event came to an end in the evening with the prize distributions from the Vice Principal and HOD CSE: Dr. K. Shahu Chatrapathi and Mr. Rafeeq, HOD Mining . On a whole the conference was fruitful and was very useful to all the engineering techies for gathering to perspectives for a safer and secure future. 14 13
