Professionals are mostly hired to conceptualize, supervise and share their thoughts. Many Americans have little autonomy in the workplace. Professionals tend to be significantly more satisfied with their work. Middle class people have faced increasing economic insecurity, supporting the idea of a working-class majority. In the United States occupation is one of the prime factors of social class and is closely linked to an individual’s identity. The average work week in the U.S. for those employed full time was 42.9 hours long with 30% of the population working more than 40 hours a week. The average American worker, earned $16.64 an hour in the first two quarters of 2006. Overall Americans worked more than their counterparts in other developed post-industrial nations. The average American, had 16 annual vacation days. In 2000 the average American, worked 1,978 hours per year. Overall the U.S. labor force was the most productive in the world, largely due to its workers working more than those in any other post-industrial country. Americans generally hold working and being productive in high regard, being busy and working extensively may also serve as the way to obtain esteem.

In the USA, the father is the head of the family; he is the one who has to work. The mother has to take care of her children, in a few families she also works, but it is no so common. The average is to have 2 children and almost all the time they are individualism because for the USA people it is most important the work than family, so they do not share a lot of time with their families on weekdays. In this country it is really common to notice that the family is a really important subject and they promote the union between their members.
People from the U. S. spent their time in a lot of things. The 56% of the people in the U. S. spend their free time watching TV. The 26% prefer to socialize doing extracurricular activities. The 8% of the people spend their free time playing video games or using the computer. The other 7% enjoy their free time practicing any sport or doing any exercise. And the last 3% spend their free time reading. So they do many things to enjoy their time.

It is very important to know the religions to treat people in a good way.
Its democratic system was established in 1789, although not all features of the system were as democratic as they are now. The US is a Federal system which means a system where a country is composed of internally self-governing political divisions, subject to the authority of a central government in matter that affect the country as a whole. The elections for a new president are every 4 years. It is compose by two kinds of parties, the democrats, that believe in that people should have good lives and they also believe in rights of the individual citizen and the republicans think the opposite in some areas such as: Privatization of everything, Religion and the belief in God is vital to a strong nation, Illegal Immigrants must be deported and most of all lower taxes.
The Federal Government has three branches/arms: Legislative Branch: House of Representatives and Senate. Executive Branch: President, Cabinet, Federal Departments and Agencies. Judicial Branch: Supreme Court, Other Federal Courts.
Agricultural products are the goods most commonly produced for sale within the country and for export. Handcrafts have been produced and are in great demand by tourists, museums, and collectors. These items are made in urban and rural areas by both Ladinos and Indians in small workshops and by individuals in their own homes. Assembly plants, known as maquilas produce clothing and other items for export, using imported materials and semiskilled labor. Despite criticisms of this type of enterprise in the United States, many Guatemalans find it a welcome source of employment with relatively high salaries. ď‚ž In the Ladino sector, upper-class men and women work in business, academia, and the major professions. Older Ladino and Indian teenagers of both sexes are the primary workers in maquilas, a form of employment that increasingly is preferred to working as a domestic. ď‚ž
Guatemala is a country in which family is very important. In rural area it is common to have 10
children or more if it is possible. Also in this area is really usual to find that in one house live: father, mother, grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc. They use to live all together in big houses. In urban area, the average is to have only 3 children. The families are really small, in this area and just live: the mother, father and children. In conclusion, the type of family can vary depending the place where they live.
Many people in Guatemala spend their free time watching TV, listening to music, going out with their family or friends to places like to the cinema. But, younger people are the kind that listens to music and old people just go with their families to restaurants or Malls. Also, many people spend their time going to clubs or practicing sports. But, nowadays, many young people spend a lot of time using the computer.
In Guatemala there are a lot religions that are important to mention. 50–60% of the population is Roman Catholicism, 40% Protestant, 3% Eastern Orthodox and 1% follow the indigenous Mayan faith. Catholicism was the official religion during the colonial era. However, Protestantism has increased markedly in recent decades. More than one third of Guatemalans are Protestant, chiefly Evangelicals and Pentecostals. Finally, we have to respect every religion if you want to get respect to your religion.
Politics in Guatemala takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President of Guatemala is both head of state and head of government, and of a multi-party system. Guatemala's 1985 Constitution provides for a separation of powers among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government. The election for a new president in Guatemala is made every 4 years and it cannot be a reelection for a president.
Until now, Guatemala has not had a woman as president.
People from London worked in industrialized agriculture, manufacture, engineering and mining, as well as new and pioneering road, rail and water networks to facilitate their expansion and development. There are about 3.7 million businesses in the UK. About 75% of British jobs are in service industries-hotels, restaurants, travel, shopping, computer, and finances. It is their fastest growing business and employs over twenty million people. ď‚ž The usual working day starts at 9am and finishes by 5pm. Most people work a five-day week. The working week is, on average, the longest of any country in Europe. However, about 22% of British workers do work more than a 48- hour a week. Everyone is out of the office early on Fridays and no one would dream of coming to work on Saturdays. To conclude, British employers must give their workers four weeks paid holiday a year. ď‚ž
London is a very special country. The 56% of
households consist of a couple with or without children. Most were still headed by a married couple, although the proportion of cohabiting couple families had increased to 14%, from 9% 10 years earlier. Although, two children remains the most common family size, the average number of children per family in London has dropped - from 2.0 to 1.8. So, in conclusion, they have a poor family.
People in London do not spend so much time as other countries in special activities but they do it. They spend about 45% of their free time watching television, 24% of their free time socializing, 22-23% on sport and hobbies, and 10% on other activities. Other popular leisure activities are listening to the radio, listening to prerecorded music, reading, gardening, eating out and going to the cinema. So we can say that they have a very good administrated time.
The main religions in London are like the same around the world. According to the 2011 Census, the largest religious groups are Christians 48.4%, followed by those of no religion 20.7 per cent, no response 8.5%, Muslims 12.4%, Hindus 5%, Jews 1.8%, Sikhs 1.5%, Buddhists 1% and other 0.6% do not know what religion they are. So, for all the religions there is a percentage of people, that means that all the people is distributed in the religion they prefer.

The British political system is headed by a monarchy but essentially the powers of the monarch as head of state currently Queen Elizabeth II - are ceremonial. The most important practical power is the choice of the Member of Parliament to form a government, but invariably the monarch follows the convention that this opportunity is granted to the leader of the political party with the most seats in the House of Common, this is the lower chamber but the one with the most authority. The monarch is determined on the hereditary and primogeniture principles which means that the oldest male child of a monarch is the next in line to the throne. In classical political theory, there are three arms of the state: The executive - the Ministers who run the country and propose new laws The legislature - the elected body that passes new laws The judiciary the judges and the courts who ensure that everyone obeys the laws
The work in china is a very interesting topic because they have a great advance in thechnology. In a culture where the boss is the boss, people tend to do what they are asked to do, seeing anything beyond that as possible insubordination. If things don’t happen that you wanted to happen, start by reviewing your own instructional style if your instructions were a bit vague, it is likely that there will be a degree of confusion. The main exports in china are Office equipment, clothing, telecoms equipment and electrical machinery. The imports are petroleum products, professional instruments and metal ores and scarp. Officially, women have the same rights as men in the workplace and the party has promoted this sense of equality over the past thirty years or so. So, chinese women are highly succesful within the education city and are actively managing their careers.
The traditional Chinese family has a hierarchical order with the man as the head of the family tagged with the responsibility for earning the bread of his family. This responsibility also endows him with complete authority and the final say in the affairs of the family. The roles adopted by the members of the family in Chinese society have been greatly influenced by religion. The children of today´s Chinese family are more or less free to choose the career they want to pursue but are required to consult their elders for advice.
The father of the house is also responsible for housing and educating his children up until the time of their marriage. Once married the children move into their own homes. A unique phenomenon of the Chinese family is the one child policy that has been enforced by law in the country. This policy was introduced as a way of controlling the rapidly growing population and to control the draining of the country´s natural resources.
Most of the people in China spent their time doing something productive. Many people go out to eat together. Also spending time as a family outside is popular-whether at a park or near the mall. Playing Majong as well as card games is popular. Karaoke is also popular for adults. In conclusion, they do a lot of activities that contain something to learn.
The main religions in China are divided with percentages of people. In china the most of the population are Buddhism 18%, Christians 4%, then Ethnic minorities’ indigenous religious as Vajrayana and Thervada 4%, Islam 2%, and finally agnostic or atheist people 42%. As a result, there are not a lot religions as in Guatemala or USA.
China is governed by the communist system which is a socioeconomic structure that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society based on common ownership of the means of production and property in general. China is a country of many political parties. Apart from the Communist Party of China, which is in power, China has eight non-Communist parties. Since their founding, the latter have established cooperative relations with the CPC to different extents. As a result, it is a constitution with Chinese characteristics, well suited for the betterment of the nation politically, economically and culturally during the new era of socialist modernization.
Working in Cuba was very difficult but not any more. Cubans value relationship building and harmony so it is important to avoid hard selling, pressure tactics and any sort of conflict or confrontation. Decisions are made from the top down and can take sometime. Generally, office business hours in Cuba are from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm fromm Monday to Saturday. Most offices in Cuba close for lunch at 12:30 pm for one hour. Offices in Cuba get every other Saturday off. Wrokers lacked health care, access to education, retirement benefits, and vacations. Cuba has a workweek of 48 hours, and workers have been asked to give volunteer time to building projects, education, and harvesting. The Cuban state then pay its workers in pesos. But, now they have smart workers and are the ones that earn more money.
Cubans, tend to live together as a nuclear family, grandparents often provide childcare for women in the household who work outside the home, or attend school. The Family Code especially in Article 26 of the code, called for women and men to take equal responsibility for domestic labor and childcare.
There were still 'personal' obligations women had to assume with marriage, such as 'maternal rights,' which were a norm in Cuban traditional society.
People in Cuba spend a lot of time in things they like to do as jobbies. Cubans like to go to beaches just to go swimming or to have a party. They love music, so they enjoy their free time listening to music, dancing, playing or learning to play any instrument. So they are very funny and extraverted people.
In Cuba there are not a large amount of religions but they belong to one of the mains. The majority find that Catholicism is the most important religion in their country with 60%, then Protestants 5% and 35% Santeria. In conclusion, it does not matter if they have less religions they put their faith to the religion in which they believe.
The Communist Party is Cuba’s only legal political party. Cuba is an independent socialist republic that is controlled by 1 party: the Cuban Communist Party (PCC), of which Fidel Castro is the head, with his brother, Raul Castro as vice-president. The Communist Party is led by a group of 25 individuals chosen by its head. The Cuban governmental structure is heavily bureaucratic. The economy is largely state-controlled, with 75 percent of the labor force employed by the government. Therefore decisions that are made within each of these state-run ministries have a great impact on the economy and on the individual. The Cuban people have very little influence over government policies, most of which are directly handed down from the upper echelons of government. Many economic policies are the direct result of his attempts to maintain his tight control on the Cuban population.
Cuban Communism works great for those who relish the system, and horribly for those who choose to not conform. Because of this, there are many supporters of Communism and an even larger number of activists who are against it. If there is someone who wants to do something about it immediately goes to prison for betraying the country.
All the countries arround the world have their own culture, so they have different ways to work. In the United States they are very addicted to work. In the other hand, in Guatemala people doesn’t like to work. In Guatemala City people are less concious and don’t work if they are not earning something. Then we have London; British people are very focused and have a great sense of work. They have a really good development becuase all the jobs are well paid. The work in China is different, chinese people have a really advanced thechnology. They also have agood deliver global growth in work. Opposite is Cuba, in Cuba they have the tipical kind of work but in the past they were very exploted. They didn’t have benefits at work and no vacations. But now the things have changed and they have a place to work. However, these countries are very different so we have to respect the way in which they work.
ď‚ž
All around the world we can find many types of families, but all of them are really different, for instance, in the United States the father is the person who works and the mother is with their children taking care of them. In the other hand is Guatemala, in rural area is common to have 10 children, thus, in the urban area their average is 3 children per family.
ď‚ž
Other country is London, Both parents work and they hire baby-sitters to take care of their children .In contrast, inCuba the mother has to work as same as the father but she is the head of the family, who takes the final decisions. However in China, the father is who is the head of the family and the roles adopted by the members of the family in Chinese society have been greatly influenced by religion.
ď‚ž
As you could read, there are a lot of kinds of families but with different ways to live.
As you can see in all the countries people spend their free time going out with their friends or their family. They don’t spend a lot of time staying at home, everybody prefer to do something with more people. In four of the five countries they enjoy their free time watching television or using the computer. In all the countries is important to do any exercise or to practice any sport. In all the countries people don't spend a lot of time reading books. In the U. S. and in London, people spend their free time socializing. They think that if you know more people you could have more opportunities (they are always thinking in work). The most important thing that people in Cuba have is the music, for that reason they learn to play any instrument, to dance or sing. In China is important to spend all their free time with their family because they have to teach them the most important values and how to grow as good person. Here in Guatemala we spend our free time with our friends or family. In conclusion, we have to respect every culture.
Politics is already a very difficult topic to talk about, besides that it also changes depending in where you are standing. It is not the same if you are talking about countries which are under a Federal System regimen than if you are talking about monarchy. There fore the socialism is not the same in China as is in Cuba. Unfortunately, between the five countries that where compared, the most affected by its regimen is Cuba. Your speech freedom is restricted in order to not have a complot against the government, according to their beliefs. In contrast with the United States of America, called themselves as the “land of the free and the home of the brave, which means that each citizen is free to express what they think as long as they respect someone else´s rights. It is also important to remark that the communism is China, is a system that according to the population fits better for their needs. However in Cuba does not work that way; the bureaucracy has done that the interest of the upper echelons predominate over the population´s best interest. Perhaps Guatemala´s system is good, but still has many things to improve.
Most of the populations of these countries except China are Catholic, and the other percentage of the adult population identified themselves as Christians or Evangelists. Just 6.7 percent are Muslims, Indus, Jews and Islam. 5.07 percent of the population has no religion but believed in god and 3.45 percent are atheist. In a survey made in several of these countries the 50% of people said that they do not know what religion they are, but they that believe in god even though they do not have an specific religion. Also 27.9 of Catholics said that they go to church every Sunday and the other 72.1% affirm that they go to church once a month or in special celebrations. Finally, we can say that there are different religions around the world but they believe in God even though it is not the same God for every religion.

PROBLEM Alan works in the claims department of a major hospital. Paperwork on a recent admission shows that a traumatic mugging caused the patient to require an adjustment in the medication she is prescribed to control anxiety and mood swings. Alan is struck by the patient’s unusual last name and upon checking her employment information realizes she is one of his daughter’s grade school teachers. Alan’s daughter seems very happy in her school and he cannot violate patient confidentiality by informing the school of a teacher’s mental illness but he is not comfortable with a potentially unstable person in a position of influence and supervision over his eight year old daughter. Can Alan reconcile these issues in an ethical manner?
SOLUTION We as a group concluded that:
Guatemala According with the laws in Guatemala, Alan should be judge for brake the confidentiality of the patient reading her expedient. The sentence would not be so hard. And Allan should not say anything about the teacher’s problem because the doctor is the one that has to decide what to do with the patient and if he thinks that her psychological problem will affect the students he is going to do something about the situation. Cuba In Cuba the laws determine that the confidential information shall not be acknowledged without the patient permission so Allan would be sent to prison immediately for reading the teacher’s expedient. The sentence dictated for the judge will be about a year in prison., and the teacher will be fire because there all the personnel is hire by the government. However, Allan should not say anything about the teacher’s problem because the doctor is the one that has to decide what to do with the patient and if he thinks that her psychological problem will affect the students he is going to do something about the situation.
United Stated of America In the United Stated the principal problem would be the teacher’s trauma and the government will pay more attention to the teacher by giving her the professional help she needs to recover her mental health. By the way, Allan should not say anything about the teacher’s problem because the doctor is the one that has to decide what to do with the patient and if he thinks that her psychological problem will affect the students he is going to do something about the situation.
London
In
London the laws will be a little harder than in the United Stated what means that Allan will get in prison or will have to pay a penalty to get his freedom. And with the teacher they will not care about her health so they are just going to fire her and give Allan a penalization. However, Allan should not say anything about the teacher’s problem because the doctor is the one that has to decide what to do with the patient and if he thinks that her psychological problem will affect the students he is going to do something about the situation.
ď‚ž China ď‚ž
In China Allan will get a sever penalization for breaking the confidentiality law and but at the time the school is not going to fire the teacher or even give her psychological help, they are just going to ignore what happen with the teacher because in that country there still is a lot of respect for the privacy of every person and if she does not want to say anything about her problem no one has to say anything about it. But any way, Allan should not say anything about the teacher’s problem because the doctor is the one that has to decide what to do with the patient and if he thinks that her psychological problem will affect the students he is going to do something about the situation.
