Stop Blaming Yourself For Those Who Don’t Support Written by Kandice Sherril Don’t be alarmed, you finally decided to step out on faith and begin your own business. The first couple of weeks were great! You received shares, some sales, a few inquiries but now you’re a couple of months down the road and there’s...crickets. No more congratulations, no more sharing of posts, no sales. You want to quit and decide that you may have stepped into something you know nothing about. Although that may be partially true, it’s not the end. You’re wondering why your friends and family aren’t so enthusiastic about your journey anymore. Did you catch it? It’s your journey. Not theirs. Stop establishing the idea that they don’t want to support you simply because it’s...you. What if there was a grand rule that there was something called ‘target audience’? This is Business 101. You must recognize WHO your target audience is and 9x out of 10 it is not the ones closest to you. Of course a few shares, likes, and referrals from them costs absolutely $0, but it’s not their obligation. The sooner you realize that there are approximately 7.3 billion people on earth that are here for what you have to offer. The closer you will be to gaining new clients and widening your horizon. A recent personal experience is when I hosted another vendor event, and only needed 6 vendors. 5/6 of those vendors I had NEVER met, 6/6 of them I had never been at another vendor event alongside them. I wasn’t banking on people who I’ve been doing events with to sign up, the odds are not in your favor when you depend on others. Depend on YOU!
Bottom line is...be open minded. Your ideal client is more than likely a complete stranger. Don’t be afraid to network and create new relationships. 3

A candid view inside of Bruen Medical Partners was her mission has always been to Change Lives through Faith, Wellness and Training!
“I am about solving problems, not merely criticizing them. I take action. I saw a need and I believe that I was assigned to establish Bruen Medical Partners.” -Elizabeth Bruen
More than 16 years ago, Elizabeth Bruen founded a company that would be a sounding board in the healthcare community. Prior to 1978 phlebotomists had no medical identity and no standards to translate their performance in the field. They were known as “blood drawers” and could receive medical training on the job with no formal education. This practice created a huge liability for individuals in this career. The chance of blunders was great and consequently, they were quite frequent. Elizabeth Bruen, with years of medical training on her resume, decided to seek solutions for this dilemma. Determined and eager, she formed a group of medical techs, medical supervisors, and blood drawers to assist in creating the outline of educational guidelines and regulations in phlebotomy. Under Mrs. Bruen’s leadership, the group agreed that the professional name for blood drawers needed to be changed to phlebotomists. With a new title and an appetite for change, Elizabeth continued her quest. She wrote an article expressing the lack of leadership and accountability in the phlebotomy field. This article had an overwhelming response, and the feedback helped to rally supporters that were also eager for change. With more support, Elizabeth was able to incorporate Bruen Medical Partners.
The journey wasn’t complete; national certification exams followed in addition to legitimate training to become a knowledgeable phlebotomist took root. It seems as though finding the tools to enhance the creditability of all phlebotomists everywhere is an inherent passion for Elizabeth. She believes that her company will continue to grow and set the standard for quality healthcare. The Joy in the Journey Written by Teresa Cleveland
Living in 2020 there are so many creative ways to be healthy, so many ideas, choices, pills etc. I have found out on my health journey that everyones health journey is not the same. To have joy in your journey you must be on a health journey that fits you, that brings excitement to you. That keeps you motivated even when the scale doesn't move and realizing that inches are better than the scale. Also realizing that each day you are healthier, stronger full of energy and life. There must be a balance in your life to stay consistent on this journey or something will go lacking and majority of the time it's your health that is placed on the shelf. Then the hard work you put in was in vain because you gave up on the Journey because of life struggles and circumstances. I tell you today get you a planner. Plan your day, include your health, make it a priority. We all have one life to live and rather you believe it or not, you contribute to the longevity of your life or expansion by how you treat your body. There are many things that can shorten your life definitely stress, worry, sickness, accidents that's out of our control I can go on and on, but the bottom line is no matter what the case may be you don't want to be a part taker of your life being shortened because of lack of self-care. I say have joy in your journey. Put yourself first to be healthy for, this will bring long life, joy, peace and love. I found me on this journey; so the old unhealthy, fatigued, overweight me is not going back. I'm free from the bondage of the old me and I strive to enjoy my health journey and encourage others to do the same in the process. There is a quote I saw which says,
"Some progress is better than none at all. Another saying, “If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk crawl whatever you do you have to keep moving. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
I found joy im my journey and my prayer is that you will do the same! 18

“My name is Teresa Cleveland I am a dance Instructor and the one who came up with Hit the Floor Fitness in Waco, Texas. I first started my journey for weight loss to lose weight because I was 340 lbs. and I knew I was unhappy and had to do something about it. As my weight started to come off I really started enjoying my journey, I've been a dancer my whole life, but then I figured it's more than weight loss dancing completes, motivates, and encourages me to keep going no matter what I face. Hit the floor is my Happy Hour, my time to put all of my feelings on the floor through dance. In my routines I incorporate jumping jacks, jump squats, squats, wall squats, planks, sit ups, crunches, kicking, punching etc. When you incorporate this into dance you have a full body workout. I travel to churches, events, women events etc. to bring excitement to everyone. My prayer and goal is to bring joy, encouragement and prayer to someone that has given up saying, ‘you can do this.’ If I can, you can. Let's do this together -I got you! Thank you to everyone who has allowed me to bring excitement in your life through health and dance.”

“On a day to day basis I deal with diabetes which requires me to do self-injections to control my blood levels. I decided to join "HIT THE FLOOR" and become 100% dedicated. I am amazed at the improvements to my health. Since I've started my A1C level has decreased from 11 to 5.8. My energy level has increased, and I have dropped off 7lbs. Who would ever thought that 3 hours a week can bring a major health change? Thank you to the trainer and the ladies for supporting and motivating me in my journey.” Philippians 4:13 -Linda Mccutcheon Dickson
“First of all, I want to give praise to God because without him I wouldn't have the talent that I have which is loving dance and music. Also, I would like to say it has been an awesome Journey being around such Amazing women. Hit the Floor Fitness brings excitement in my life I have more energy, I'm not as tired and I can see my weight loss and others can to. Thanks to the Fitness Instructor who dedicates her time to bring happiness in my life. -Nikki Crane
“If I want to see progress with my mind and body I have to work at it and not just talk about it. I love working out with the ladies of all ages because we gave one goal in mind. That is to do better for our health. My Testimony: Had my annual physical in Feb. All markers were good, blood pressure was good. Went from 149/90 in Nov 2019 to 134/74 and I lost 5 pounds. My favorite scripture: Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him who gave been called according to His purpose.” -Jacque
“This has been an Amazing journey everyone that knows me know I don't work out, but I heard about the Instructor, so I was determined to try her class. Let's just say I started in February 2020 and I'm still working out with this energetic, fun Instructor.” -Tracy Sadler-Dow Miles
“My name is Shonda I've been on my health journey for a while, I've lost over 100 + pounds. I connected with Hit the Floor to remain faithful to my journey. I had no idea that working out would bring such joy to my life. We all face struggles in this life but Hit the Floor Fitness makes you forget about it through the Inspiration, encouragement and prayer that comes along with it!” -Shonda 20

“
CW (Publishing) is my brand. Most would assume that it's my initials but it actually stands for Complete Wellness. My writing was my healing. My publishing it and sharing was my wellness. Often we want an instant response. But wellness is ongoing so it may not correlate to being instant with your healing. I have to continue to work on being well. I'm passionate about helping others advocate for themselves. Writing does that in a voice that calls out to infinite audiences. I believe that every story has purpose. I believe we all have a story to share. Sometimes we just need someone to help us share it in the right voice. I can do that if you are ready to be well! -Cija Williams
