WALK-IN REGISTRATION Walk-in registration is available during normal business hours of: Mon-Thur 7:30 am-5:00 pm Fridays 7:30 am-1:30 pm. ON-SITE REGISTRATION In order to keep things organized, we will not accept registrations at program sites, unless specified. PAYMENTS Payments are due at time of registration. We accept cash, checks, credit cards and DPR gift cards. Please make checks payable to Dickinson Parks & Recreation. We accept Mastercard, Visa and Discover. *DPR does not want to deny any child participation due to the inability to pay. Please see us for details. REFUNDS There is a NO REFUND POLICY for classes which have limited enrollment. Refunds will be granted if a cancellation is completed prior to the program’s begin date (no refunds will be given once the program has started).

HOURS OF OPERATION • Mon-Sun 12:00-7:00 pm • Safety breaks occur 10 minutes prior to the top of the hour (ex. 12:50 – 1:00 pm). • When the Outdoor Pool is open, the Indoor Lap & Leisure Pool will be open for adult swim and lap swim only. • All hours may vary depending on current lessons and unexpected circumstances. FAMILY SWIM NIGHT! Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during twilight hours of 5:00 – 7:00 pm we are encouraging families to come and enjoy a night out at the pool together! FEE:$4.00 twilight pass or WRCC membership. AGE: Children 16 & under will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during this time. TODDLER TUESDAYS Join us for Toddler Tuesday held each Tuesday from 11:00 am-12:00 pm throughout the season. Parent & Me

These classes are designed to encourage parent/child learning and water adjustment in a safe and positive setting. Parents accompany their children at all times while an experienced instructor guides parents in teaching their children fundamental safety and aquatic skills. Youth aquatic lessons consist of 10 lessons (30 minutes each) that meet Monday-Friday for two consecutive weeks. Lessons follow the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. Golf

Heart River Golf Academy Beginner Learn the basics and fundamentals of the golf swing, putting and chipping. Intermediate Instruction includes more in depth and individual instruction of the golf swing, putting and chipping and bunker play. Some procedures, rules and etiquette are covered at this level. Learners must have completed beginner golf instruction last summer or this summer. Advanced Competitive golf includes some individual swing instruction, bunker, trouble shots, and course management. PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG) is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, ages 9-17, to learn and enjoy the game of golf. Like many other recreational youth sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with friends. PGA JLG features team vs. team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular, less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke-play competition. Participants use a wide range of supplies to make their own masterpieces. There will be unique new goals and projects each week. Students will gain essential skills to create projects using creative expression. Projects created will be brought home by the student upon completion. Mini Monday Art

Art for the little ones! Participants will have the chance to increase their sensory and fine motor skills while getting messy. We provide the fun, materials and clean up! Children must be accompanied by an adult or someone 16 or older. Registration deadline is Wednesday prior to each class

Fitness Orientation Class

Participants will learn how to properly use our cardio and strength equipment from one of our certified personal trainers. Ages 12-13 yr. will be able to use the fitness equipment without parental supervision after successful completion of this class. Registration deadline is 2 days before class.

Have a supervised fun filled morning at Optimist Park. Enjoy free play, crafts, water activities and more. Children must bring a water bottle and snack. T-Ball

In this introductory tennis program, participants will experience the basic fundamental skills associated with the game of tennis in a fun, non-competitive learning environment. Racquets provided if needed. Registration deadline is June 1 and June 29.

Players will be introduced to the basic skills of throwing, catching, hitting, and running the bases. Participants will hit off the batting tee for entire program. Baseball glove required. Must be 5-6 yr. as of May 1, 2022. Registration deadline is June 16.

Safety City

Join this award winning safety education program sponsored in part by the Kiwanis Club. Children will practice “real life” safety situations in a miniature “city.” Children will have fun learning about safety in the following areas: Pedestrian and bicycle safety, railroad crossings, animal safety, electrical safety, school bus safety, stranger danger, seat belts, pool safety, calling 911, as well as farm safety and what to do in an emergency situation. KEVIN BERGMAN LABOR DAY CLASSIC The Labor Day Classic has been a tradition at the Heart River Golf Course for over 70 Years. In 2008 the tournament was renamed in honor of HRGC golf professional of 20 years Kevin Bergman and honors him today. The match-play tournament provides an environment and player field to compete in flights matching your skill level from the scratch player to the competitive recreational players. The weekend events including the Calcutta, Derby, Dinners and “Championship Monday” have been enjoyed for decades by its new & returning participants, champions and loyal fans.
