TIME IS RUNNING OUT! The clock is winding down; RSVP now to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Key West 10 the Breeze February 2016
March 16-21, 2016 Still a U.S. territory, but closer to Cuba than Miami, Key West, Florida is a dynamic collage of culture, food, nature and people. Without a doubt, one of the most “laid back” cities on the planet, Key West is known for its easy-going lifestyle, great weather and nearly 24/7 party atmosphere. Travel with us in March to experience four days and five nights of this quirky, unique and sometime eccentric piece of real estate. The $450 per person cost based on double occupancy covers transportation, five nights lodging and some meals. This is a super St. Patrick’s Day party destination. Space is limited and advanced reservations are required because this trip always fills up fast. JBCharleston.com

Golf Courses
“Mindless” sale only temporary The Pro Shop staff at both courses are pleading temporary insanity when asked how they could offer a weekend-long sale of ridiculously low prices this month. Keeping in mind Feb. 19 is National Temporary Insanity Day, from Feb. 18 to Feb. 22 the shops are mindlessly discounting golf gear at a nearly insane rate. For peace of mind, shop early for the best bargains.
BOGO golf deal If the Temporary Insanity Sale wasn’t enough wackiness for February, if you buy one round of golf during the month, you get the second at a 50% discount. Drop by the golf shop for more details.
Reserving your tournament early is like getting a free bag of money! Does your Booster Club or organization have plans for a golf tournament or outing this spring? Now is the time to act on making firm reservations with Redbank Plantation or Wrenwoods golf courses to save big on up-front, out-of-pocket expenses. Events for 2016 booked in February will receive 10 percent off their total cost. This could mean a savings of $150 to $250 for your organization. For complete details on planning a fund-raiser or golf outing, please feel free to stop by and meet with a golf shop attendant.
February tournaments Feb. 13 - Redbank Golf Association Individual Stroke Play Tournament • $20 entry fee, plus cart and green fees • Sign-up prior to 7:30 a.m. day of the tournament Feb. 20 - Fleet Reserve Tournament at Redbank Plantation • Four-player Captain’s Choice • 9 a.m. shotgun start • Call Redbank Plantation for more details or to register.
Practice dawn-to-dusk
The practice range on the Air Base is open from dawn to dusk everyday. Single play tokens for balls are available in the golf shop. For convenience, consider a 30-swipe range key for $53, a 60-swipe range key for $105 or an annual pass for $225.
FootGolf updates
• Kids play free with a paying adult daily after 12 p.m. • The PT FootGolf program starts again in March. Playing times are 6:45-7:30 a.m. This free program is a welcomed alternative to standard physical training sessions. Call the golf shop to schedule your unit or squadron. February 2016
