UFC 143 Live on PPV @ the Club See the next UFC battle between Condit and Diaz on Saturday, Feb. 4. UFC officially announced last week that two of the sport's top welterweight contenders will vie for the interim 170-pound title. Nick Diaz, a fiery and unpredictable southpaw riding an 11fight win streak, will battle the division's most fearsome knockout artist, Carlos Condit, when the UFC returns to the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. During his reign as Strikeforce welterweight champion, Nick Diaz defeated archrival KJ Noons and finished both Evangelista Santos and Paul Daley en route to becoming the organization's best 170-pound fighter. Returning to the UFC with his destruction of Penn last October, Diaz - whose brother Nate is also a UFC competitor – looks to knock off Condit and secure his first UFC world title. The Charleston Club offers all you can eat pizza and wings for $7 (member price, $9 for non-members). UFC is FREE to Club Members and $5 for all others.

ORC offers an Introduction to Snow Skiing class on February 8 at 11:30 am. This class will teach you what to wear, where to go, and basics of snow skiing/snowboarding. A one hour lunch class will get you ready to go enjoy the slopes. The class is $10 per person. Sign up by February 7. Bring your lunch and eat while we talk.

ORC will host two Boater’s Safety Classes in February. The first is set for February 9 at 11 am and the other date is February 23 at 4 pm. This class is mandatory for anyone who is thinking about renting one of our boats. The class is $5.

Enjoy some great family fun with geocaching and we will teach you how to do it. Sign up by February 14.

Ski Trip Join us February 26 when we go skiing to Wolf Ridge Resort in NC. Trip price includes transportation, lift ticket, and rental. Skiers are $9 per person and snowboarders are $107 per person. Lessons are $12 if needed. Sign up one week in advance.

ON-LINE YARD SALE

Have you ever heard of the term "saling," as in “let's go saling?” Saling refers to that age-old, time-honored tradition of getting the girls together (mothers, daughters, friends, neighbors) early on a Saturday morning and spending the whole day hopping from one yard sale to another. Thus, the term saling. JBCharleston.com has cranked the saling concept up a notch. We've gone electronic (bam!). JBCharleston.com is hosting its own e-saling site of sorts. Here you can post your own items for sale, provide seller information, name your price, and upload photos of your items. Buyers can peruse the photos and contact you, the seller, directly. Please note: Prior to posting any items on this site, please click and read our privacy policy. We reserve the right to refuse posting of any items.

To get started, go to https://www.jbcharleston.com/esaling.

FSS Gift Cards Force Support Squadron (FSS) gift cards make it easy to purchase gifts for family and friends on special occasions, the holidays or for everyday use while on base. The cards are simple to use and provide specialized purchasing power within all participating FSS activities. And best of all, there are no fees to use your card, and no lost value if you don't use it right away! Use your gift card just like cash to make purchases at all participating FSS locations. Your purchases are deducted from the gift card balance and any unused balance will remain on the card for future use. Each time you use your gift card, your receipt will provide the balance remaining on your card. And, you can check the balance of your card anytime. There are lots of options open to you to use your card… • Take a much-needed vacation • Experience the great outdoors • Enroll your child in an activity or sport • Play a few rounds of golf • Enjoy a tasty breakfast, lunch or dinner • Put some fuel in the plane Or... choose from the many FSS activities and locations to create your own adventure! Give the gift of choice. FSS gift cards can be used for a variety of activities and they are available for purchase at participating FSS locations. Any amount can be loaded on the card in $5 increments, regardless of the balance. There are some limitations to the card. For example, gift cards cannot be redeemed for online purchases or for cash. Also, the cards cannot be used in Army, Air Force Exchange Service activities, or the Commissary. Unused Gift Card balances cannot be transferred.

For more information on FSS gift cards, visit www.myfssgiftcard.com.
