March 8 & 22 These one-hour orientation classes are required in order to checkout motor-driven ORC boats. Advance class registration required. Cost is $5. West Ashley Greenway Bike trip - March 5, 10 a.m. Come bike the scenic West Ashley Greenway. We will bike the entire trail down and back for a total of 16.5 miles stopping midway for lunch in Avondale. The price includes transportation and bike rental. Food is at own cost. Departs from ORC at 9:30 a.m., and Bowman Center at 10 a.m.

Folly Island Bike Tour - March 6, 9 a.m. Folly Beach, S.C. - Explore historic Folly island on bike and experience the beauty of the island and beach. Bring your own bike or use one of ours. RecOn price, $10, regular price $30.

Climbing with Great Danes - March 9. Air Base Airmen’s dorms. Come climbing with Great Danes! The ORC staff will be bringing four Great Danes to the base during the climbing session right outside the Airmen Dorms! Free event. 4-6 p.m.

3-D Archery - March 11, 6 p.m. Multi purpose field at NNPTC Navy base. See if your archery skills are as good as Katniss Everdeen’s from Hunger Games! Shooting recurve bow and arrow at life size Styrofoam animals. Never shot a bow before? No worries, we will teach you! The $5 price includes two-hour archery session, all gear and instruction. Session ends at 8 p.m.

Tandem Skydive - March 12, 7 a.m. Walterboro, S.C. –Jump out of a plane because your mother told you not too! The $100 price includes transportation to Skydive Walterboro and a tandem skydive from 10,500 feet! Departs from the Bowman Center at 7 a.m., returning around 5 p.m.

Shem Creek History Tour - March 12, 1:30 p.m. Charleston. A two-hour leisurely guided walking tour on historic Shem Creek, along the Boardwalk, an up close view of shrimp boats and a tour of one of the Lowcountry’s most scenic destinations. Ends with a fresh shrimp boil and your choice of beverage. Departs from ORC at 1 p.m., and returns around 6 p.m.

Key West Trip - March 16-21. Four full days in beautiful Key West, Florida. The $450 price includes transportation, lodging and some meals. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day day in style on this laid-back, free-spirited adventurous island get-a-way excursion.

Wonderworks, Aquarium & Broadway @ The Beach - March 19, 11:30 a.m. Myrtle Beach, S.C. – This is three of Myrtle Beach’s most visited attractions all in one location, all in one trip. Food and extra events on Broadway at the Beach will be at own cost. The $50 price includes transportation, admission to Wonderworks and Ripley’s Aquarium, plus Broadway at the Beach tour. Teens tour campus

JB Charleston teens are invited to visit and tour the campus of South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, S.C., on March 30. SC State is South Carolina’s only public, historically black college and university. Along with other unique programs, it boasts the only Bachelor of Science program in nuclear engineering in the state. Cost for the trip is $5 for youth center members; $10 for all others.

Parents are welcome on this trip! Deadline to register is March 22. A minimum of five teens are needed for this trip to go. Call (843) 963-1993 for more details.

Tae Kwon Do lessons
