Follow your nose to the dining room and enjoy a traditional Irish buffet for lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or stop by for a hearty dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. before heading over to the bingo salon. Members price is $7.50 for lunch and $7.25 for dinner, with the nonmembers prices at $8.50 and $9.25, respectively. No RSVPs needed.

The Club hosts a “1st Thursday Family Night” for its Members every month. This month’s program is March 7. The fun starts at 5 p.m. Members are invited to bring the family for a pizza and spaghetti dinner. Cost is only $5.50 for adults and youth 12 years old and younger eat at no charge. On Wednesday, March 6, the tournament planning professionals at Wrenwoods Golf Course on the Air Base will host a free lunch-time seminar to show you how your organization can run a successful and profitable golf tournament. Booster Club board members, First Sergeants and Squadron Commanders are welcome to attend. A complimentary lunch will be served. Information will be shared on a wide range of subjects from publicity and food to acquisition of prizes and fun contests. Space is limited for this seminar. Tandem Skydiving March 16 Why jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Because it’s the thrill of a lifetime! Liberty takes you to Walterboro Airpark on Saturday, March 16 for tandem skydiving! The cost is $155 for a tandem jump which includes instruction and everything you’ll need to take the plunge. The van departs from the OAC parking lot at 7:15 a.m. Participants must be 18 years of age and can’t weigh more than 220 lbs. Register by Monday, March 11. A $20 non-refundable deposit is required.

Olympic Lifting Technique Class Tuesdays 7-8 p.m. Learn how to properly execute dynamic, explosive strength movements such as the snatch and the clean & jerk. Through the use of body bars and at a slow speed, our trainer, Travis will teach correct lifting techniques for these Olympic movements as well as the squat and the deadlift. Classes are held at Sam’s Gym and are free to Active Duty Military. For all other eligible patrons, the cost is $3 per class.

Massage Therapy Relax, rejuvenate, and refresh with a therapeutic massage from one of our licensed therapists at Sam’s Fitness Center. Therapeutic massage melts away stress and tension, relieves head and muscular aches, improves blood circulation, reduces injury healing time, and is excellent preventative health care. Sessions are available in Swedish, therapeutic and sports massage by calling (843) 327-3975.

YOUTH SUMMER SWIM TEAM The Youth Summer Swim Team for boys and girls ages 5-17 will accept registrations on Saturday, March 16 and Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the New Wave Pool at JB CHSWeapons Station. The cost is $70 for one child and $60 for each additional child. Cash, credit cards and checks will be accepted (restrictions apply). Participants will be fitted for swimsuits at registration. KARATE JB Charleston-WS Youth Programs presents Shorin-ryu Karate for boys and girls ages 6-10. Students of any ability, level of fitness or experience are welcome to learn traditional karate in this fast-paced, exciting class! Youth Programs will host a free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30, beginning at 10 a.m. Kids ages 1-12 are invited, and will be grouped according to age and started at different times. Preregistration is not needed. The Easter Bunny will attend for pictures with the kids.

Spring Break registration Registration for Spring Break Camp for ages 5-12 opens March 4. Camp date is April 1-5. This camp is open to family members of active duty, active Reserve and DoD civilians. Youth will participate in Boys and Girls Club and 4-H activities, including field trips. This program is open to special needs youth. Stop by the Air Base Youth Center for a registration package or call for more information.

Month of the Military Child Family Bowling Day All families are invited to join the Air Base Youth Programs on Saturday, April 6 at Starlifter Lanes from 4-6 p.m. for $1 per game bowling. All children must be accompanied by their parents. Shoe rental is $1. This event is co-sponsored by Starlifter Lanes.

Spring Talent Show The Air Base Youth Programs Torch Club presents its Spring Talent Show on Friday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $1 or free with an SPCA donation. Anyone interested in showing off a special talent should contact the Youth Center by March 13.

Cooking Camp

Youth ages 9 and up are invited to attend a free Cooking Camp, April 1-5, at the Air Base Youth Center. Camp time is 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attendance is limited in size and pre-registration is required. Contact the Youth Center for additional details.
