Easter Sunday Brunch
April 20 Enjoy a traditional Easter Sunday brunch at the Charleston Club, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. A bountiful breakfast bar and omelet station will be available for starters. Then guests can move into the dinner mode with Cornish Game Hens, roast pork loin and carved roast beef. Side dishes include roasted and mashed potatoes, California Blend and roasted vegetables and green bean Almondine. To finish the meal, there will be a large selection of desserts. Price is $21 for Members and $25 for all others. Cost for children ages 5-12 is $12 and those ages 4 and under are complimentary. Call for reservations or stop by the Club office.
Prime Rib featured on Friday night Our famous mouth-watering, juicy prime rib in now part of our Friday night dining lineup. Plus, we have added several new items to our standard buffet to accompany your favorites. Serving time is 5 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $11.95 for Members; $13.95 for all others. No RSVP needed.
Bonanza Bingo, pizza deal Tuesdays
Stop by the Club Tuesday nights from 4 to 9 p.m., and play Bonanza Bingo. When you hit an “H” pattern, we’ll pay you $75. If you buy a block of 50 cards, the Club will spring for a free personal pan one-topping pizza for you to munch on while you mark your cards.

Let’s go racing at Darlington
April 12 Experiencing a Saturday night NASCAR race at Darlington should be on every race fans bucket list! We are headed there for the Bojangles Southern 500 Sprint Cup race April 12. The $129 per person cost covers transportation, one admission ticket and an after-race tailgate cookout. Seating is in the Tyler Tower, Section Q, rows 20-21. Openings are limited for this trip. Advanced reservations a must!
Weekend kayak adventure
April 5, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Here’s an awesome opportunity to turn your spring cleaning clutter into cash! This installation-wide yard sale at the Air Base Picnic Grounds is open to buyers and sellers. Price per table for sellers is $20. There is no admission fee for buyers. Deadline for sellers to register at the ORC is April 4. Call for more details.
May 3 Glide along some of the most scenic and breathtaking waterways in the Lowcountry. This trip leaves the Air Base Outdoor Recreation Center at 8 a.m. and returns at approximately 4 p.m. The $40 per person cost ($10 RecOn price) includes transportation, all gear and guides. Participants need to bring a lunch and drinks for the trip. Advance registration at the ORC is required for this outing. Call for additional details.
3D archery shoot April 16 & May 21 These shoots will be “Hunter Class” 3D events with targets ranging from 10 to 40 yards distance. All skill levels are invited to participate. Archers must provide their own equipment; no crossbows are permitted. Each shoot begins at 5 p.m. at the Air Base Outdoor Recreation. Please register two days before each date. Cost is $5 per person.
Horseback riding trip
April 13 This one-hour, walking ride meanders through the scenic woods, marshes and tidal creeks of Seabrook Island. Great family adventure for first-time riders as well as experienced equestrians. Minimum age is 8 years old. Cost is $115 per person; RecOn price, $20. Advance sign-up is needed.

Discover Sandy Island
April 19 Travel along with our staff of tour experts on a trip to Sandy Island in Georgetown County. This island has been preserved as wildlife refuge and nature center. Accessible only by boat, we will learn it’s rich history and have a Gullah-style lunch. All-levels gymnastics session April 25 Don’t feel intimidated about going with us on these gymnastics sessions - they are for beginners and those who want to advance their skills. This is an 18+, military-only, 90-minute private session at Choice Gymnastics. The $10 per person cost includes transportation, coaching, instruction and floor time. There are limited spots for this trip, which leaves the Bowman Center at 6:15 p.m. Must sign-up with cash payment at the Liberty Game Room by April 23.
Marksmanship Qualifying April 5 & 19 Join us as we head to the THREAT Management Group gun shop and firing range for your rifle and/or pistol qualifications instructed by former Marines! The cost is $150 for one qualification & $200 for both rifle and pistol. Both packages include hands-on instruction, weapons qualification, transportation, gun rental and ammo. Our van will depart from the Bowman Center at 7:45 a.m. and will return by 5:30 p.m. Registration is due the Wednesday before each trip at the Liberty Game Room.
Force-on-Force April 6 This Close Quarters Battle course is scenariobased, combative training designed to connect what you do on the range with what you must do in the field to protect yourself. The cost is $215 which includes transportation, all gear, ammunition, weapons training, instruction, execution training and Close Quarters Battle (CQB) training certificate. The trip departs from the Bowman Center at 7:15 a.m. and will return by 7 p.m. Register in the Liberty Game Room by April 2.
Tandem skydiving April 12 Jump tandem with a trained, professional skydiver! The $155 per person cost includes transportation, all equipment, instruction and the jump. Egg Hunt Adventure
April 19 All JB Charleston youth ages 1 to 12 are invited to this year’s Egg Hunt Adventure at Marrington Plantation on the Weapons Station. This free event will also feature music face-painting and games. Children will be grouped into six different, age-related hunts. The fun starts at 10 a.m. Be sure to bring a camera for a picture opportunity with the Easter bunny. Pre-registration not required.

Summer Camp registration starts April 14 Registration for this year’s session of summer camp for the Weapons Station and the Air Base starts April 14. Full-day camp is for youth who have completed kindergarten through those entering sixth grade. The cost is based on total family income. Camp times are 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Youth in grades seventh though ninth can enjoy a great time at our part-day camp, 7 a.m. - 12 p.m. The cost is $60 per week.
