GuardStart Program GuardStart is an American Red Cross program for youth, ages 11-14 that provides a foundation of aquatics for future successful completion of the Red Cross Lifeguarding Course. Cost is $85. Session 1: June 11-15, weekdays from 12-4 p.m. Session 2: June 25-29, weekdays from 4-8 p.m. Session 3: June 9, 16, 23, 30, Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Swimming Lessons June 11-22 (Register June 2) June 25-July 6 (Register June 16) Swimming lessons for all ages are offered in various sessions. Registration for Session 1 will begin June 2 for lessons scheduled for June 11-22. Registration for Session 2 will begin June 16 for lessons scheduled for June 25-July 6. Call 764-7033.

Lifeguard Training If you’re 15 years or older and looking for a great summer job that’s in demand, the Red Cross Lifeguarding program is the place to start. You’ll learn resue, surveillance, first aid and CPR/AED through video and hands-on practice. Cost is $125. Session 1: June 4-10, weekdays from 4:30-8 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Session 2: June 18-22 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Adult Lap Swim Monday-Friday: 5:30-7:30 a.m. & 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Lanes are reserved for Adult Lap Swim MondayFriday from 5:30-7:30 a.m. And 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Admission is free to all eligible patrons for lap swim during the designated times.

Lifeguard Management Take the next step in your career as an aquatics professional with this one-day course that teaches you to effectively manage lifeguards and keep patrons, guards and facilities safe. Available upon request with minimum enrollment required.

Water Fitness Classes Mondays & Wednesdays: 7-8 p.m. Looking for a fun, low impact way to get fit this summer? You’ll love the Aqua Zumba water fitness! This program is designed for swimmers and non-swimmers alike.

Family Fun Night June 15, 6-8 p.m. Come relax with the family and enjoy floats, games and lots more!

Dive-In Movie June 29 from 8:30-10:30 p.m. Relax with inner tubes and watch a PG movie while you float in the pool!

Lifeguard Instructor The purpose of the instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Water Park skills, and CPR/AED for professional rescuers. Session 1: June 5-10, weekdays from 2-8 p.m. & Sat. & Sun. from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Session 2: June 18-22 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tandem Skydiving June 2 Why jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Because it’s the thrill of a lifetime! Liberty offers skydiving trips to Walterboro Airpark on the first Saturday of each month through September. Registrations are due the Monday prior to each trip date. The cost is $157 for a tandem jump which includes instruction and everything you’ll need to take the plunge. The van departs from the OAC parking lot at 7:15 a.m. Participants must be 18 years of age and can’t weigh more than 220 lbs.

3-on-3 Co-Ed Basketball Tournament June 8 Get your co-ed basketball team together and plan to participate in Liberty’s 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament to be held in the Bowman Center multi-purpose room. Games will begin at 5:30 p.m. Great prizes will be awarded. Register in the Liberty Lounge by June 4. Join us afterwards for free pizza and movies at our Barracks Break-in!

River Tubing Trip June 23 Relax and unwind with Liberty as we float down the refreshing waters of the Edisto River. The cost is only $5 which includes transportation, parking, tube, and a cooler of ice. Muster at the Bowman Center Quarterdeck at 9:15 a.m. Our van will depart at 9:30 a.m. Register at the Liberty Lounge through June 21.

The Beat Lab The Beat Lab is a sound isolation enclosure located within the Bowman Center Liberty Lounge, complete with all your musical needs. Learn to play the drums, jam out on guitar with your buddies or even record your own music! The ideas are endless. The Beat Lab can be reserved or simply check with Liberty staff for entry.

Marksmanship Trip June 9 Join Liberty as we head to the local gun shop/firing range for your rifle and/or pistol qualifications. The cost is $75 for one qualification and $140 for both rifle and pistol. Registration fee includes transportation, weapon qualification, ammunition, and range sheets. Our van will depart from the OAC parking lot at 7:15 a.m. Registrations are accepted at ITT. June 2012

High Intensity Interval Training Designed for those who are ready for results. Features timed segments of intense cardio followed by active rest. Never boring and the results are great! Stroller Rollers Attention new mothers! Now there is a way to get fit while spending quality time with your baby! With the Stroller Rollers fitness program, you’ll shape up with a power walk and body sculpting while strolling with your baby and interacting with other new moms!
