October Liberty & Single Airman Initiative Programs Boone Hall Fright Night - Oct. 3. Scare yourself silly at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant. Departs the AB ORC and the WS Bowman Center at 5 p.m. $10 per person. Fall Hike Day Trip- - Oct. 4. We’re headed up the road to Raleigh, N.C., for a great day of scenic hiking in Jocassee Gorge to check out plunging waterfalls, river gorges, sheer rock walls and beautiful trails. Trip departs the WS Bowman Center at 8 a.m., and the AB ORC at 8:30 a.m. We’ll be back around 9 p.m. $25. Marksmanship Qualifications - Oct. 4&5, 25&26. Includes transportation, instruction, weapons and safety gear rental, ammunitions, practice rounds and qualification rounds. $200. Leaves the WS Uniform Shop/ITT office at 7:45 a.m., and returns at approximately 6:30 p.m. FootGolf Tournament - Oct. 4. How much fun is this?! Join us at Redbank Plantation Golf Course on the Weapons Station for a round of FootGolf. $15. Includes cart and greens fee. Magnolia Gardens & Mini Zoo trip - Oct. 5. Founded in 1676 by the Drayton family, Magnolia Plantation has survived the centuries and witnessed the history of our nation unfold before it from the American Revolution through the Civil War and beyond. It is the oldest public tourist site in the Lowcountry, and the oldest public gardens in America. We’ll also visit the zoo and pet some whitetail deer and pygmy goats. The Air Base Dormitory Lawn is the place to be for all things Deutschland. Fun starts at noon and goes until 5 p.m. Free bratwurst and German sides. Cost covers transportation, speed pass for Seasons of the Witch and Spliced attractions, and the biggest scare of your life. Wild Blue Ropes Course - Oct. 19. Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat Oct. 24, 6-8 p.m. Bring the whole family to the Balfour Beatty Community Center on the Weapons Station for an evening of fun and safe trick-or-treating. Join in the fun by decorating the trunk of your vehicle and giving out treats to all of the little costumed ghosts and goblins. You may win the prize for the best decorated trunk. Fall Fall Festival Festival safe saf affe e Hallo Halloween ween fun Oct. 24, 7-9 p.m. Pack up the whole family and transport them in your own version of the Munstermobile to the Forest City Community Center on the Air Base for an evening of fun and safe trick-or-treating. Join in the fun by decorating the trunk of your vehicle and giving out treats to all of the little costumed ghosts and goblins. Parents and kids are encouraged to dress up.
