October/December 2022 - Master Deegre thesis project
For my thesis project I decided to realize a project that celebrate the end of my journey across the master course and embrace the next phase of my life as a real designer and no more as a student. With this project I build my parachute that will follow me during this important jump of my life.
The parachute reference is not only a metaphor, it’s also inspirations for volumes and design solutions like the fabrics chosen, the stop drawstring, elastics and cords.
This project was in collaboration with the designer Christian Boaro. According with CHB Christian Boaro’s style, the main colors follow the same chromatic range, with two prominent colors that give more impact to the whole collection. Big, soft and dramatic volumes are balanced with pieces that are tighter, more casual and sporty.
In order to create a sustainable project, colors and materials choice has been made to create a long-life product. All the woven fabrics, bottoms, zips and other accessories came from dead stocks, wool yarn was bought from leftover too. Everything comes from a Social Cooperative that sells, among other stuff, also dead stocks and leftover coming from big companies.
The message that I want to transmit with this project is that no matter how big your fears are, you will always have your parachute that opens when you jump! But, if you don’t jump you’ll never know that it exists and follows you through the fall. Maybe it could break during the fall, but it will never leave you. You will repair it, ready for the next jump!

September/October 2022 - Project in collaboaration with CHB
This project was issued by Christian Boaro. I found my point of interaction with CHB's style, looking at his drammatic volumes and the finest research of the materials.
The materials reserch became the main point of the project, for this reason, I chose to realize a monotone collection, to remove distractions and concentrate the viewers' eyes on distinguishing the differences between materials and details.
Moreover, the meaning of the white, is to represent the light, the 5th element, the ethereal, the spirituality, the 6th sense, a sensation, our instinct that guide us, a ghost presence that watches over us. White is used to give tactile presence to an idea that is usually impalpable, fragile and abstract.
White has a tendency to make things visible. With white, you can see more of a nuance; you can see more.
3 :: grown up girl

For this project we were asked to explore our fears and develop them in a fashion project.
The focous became the passing time that leaves marks on our bodies. Especially on the woman body, the phases during a woman's life leaves signif icant marks that changes her mind and her vision of life.
Moon, pink, inner child, girlhood, pearls, transformation and round shape became the key points of the project.
All of this with a femminist touch to emphasize that women can wear whatever they want at any ages, without social labels and without anyone's permissions beside themselves.

In this project called Filia, I develop silhouettes and volumes starting from fast sketches of birds’ flight during the migration. These draws and the lines recall me the dancing figures and the movement of fabric around their bodies.
I started to transform these lines in small 3D volumes on the artistic mannequin and then experiment them in real scale model.
Birds are here conceived as a symbol of freedom. At the same time, some of them are in captivity in a cage, so, as a comparison, I have included in the research fishnet tights to establish a relation between free shapes on the body and pressing and constraining through the use of tights and socks.
I decided to use a zero waste design approach with the fabrics. I developed the shapes following the pieces of fabric and gathering it around the body, without cutting it. Following a recycled idea, I reused old tights and socks to create patchwork pieces.
5 :: hot bubbles
December 2019
This project was developed during a short course attended at Central Saint Martins in London.
The title is a provocative oxymoron and it is an extreme idea of women: sexy and fragile like a Hot Bubble.
For this project I found inspiration in the shapes and colors of corals and seaweeds. I developed the idea of femininity through the marriage between the soft appearance and the hard and strong reality of corals and seashells.
The pattern and texture of these corals and seaweeds become the idea for the fabric prints.
6 :: swimming in a big dress
Jennuary/March 2019 - Bachelor Degree Thesis project
Swimming in a big dress is my bachelor’s degree thesis project focused on the movement and the expression of the body, through dance and performance. An invitation to free the emotions and live them:
“Dance dance, otherwise we are lost” (Pina Baush)
Volumes and clothes live through the body and get a shape through the movement like a living sculpture that keeps on changing shape.
Swimming in a big dress is a red dress, a second skin, a performance, an home.
The image of waving clothes from which arms and legs come out and, carelessly, draw delicate lines in the air.

The protagonist of this project is a woman that wants to escape from a grey male reality towards a colorful, weird and crazy dream world.
She forgets the reality, becomes a child again and finds her freedom.
She can dress as she wants to, with all the colors she feels and without rationality. Like a child, she forgets the judgment of the society.
She becomes colorful, big, emancipate, energetic and provocative. A daydream.

8 :: red thoughts
April/July 2017
This project is born after a trip in Barcelona where I found the atmosphere and the inspiration for the Red People, between the big architecture of Gaudì, the imaginative work of Mirò and the cubism of Picasso.
The idea is to create an opposition to the blue state of mind. Therefore, I invented the “Red things for red thoughts of red people”. The Red things are all the things that make us happy. The Red thoughts are those thoughts and those situations that make us euphoric and free.
The Red people are all the people that are not afraid of sharing their feelings.
If when you are blue you are sad, in the world of the Red people, nobody is feeling blue.
Every day is a good day, you feel excited and want to sing and dance, watch the sunshine and feel free.
