CRAIGHEAD SINGLE LEAF WHITE TEA Beautiful leaf, mainly the bud, with an occasional first leaf from the tender shoots. The rose tinged aroma yields a bright, clean amber liquor and infused leaf that opens into full leaves and bud. The flavour of the tea is sublime - gentle yet firm, with a creamy softness from the buds, and a complex profusion of herbs and flowers, extending into a lingering and delicious finish. Code

Our Craighead Estate, with its highest elevation at 1150 metres above sea level, is nestled within valleys and hills in the mountainous region of Nawalapitiya, in the Kandy District of Sri Lanka. Our Craighead Single Leaf White Tea is made from the leaves of original seedling teas which were planted 140 years ago by Robert Fortune, which legend has it were stolen from China. Craighead Estate recently broke 6 all-time records for Ceylon Tea in April and May of this year.

Tea & Food Pairing – White Tea The pure, refreshingly light and clean taste of our White Teas offer hospitality professionals the opportunity to pair a cuppa with food items from a lighter taste profile. The best pairings occur when the food does not overpower the tea, but instead coexists harmoniously alongside it.

Situated on the outskirts of Ratnapura, acclaimed as the ‘City of Gems’, our Opatha Estate is surrounded by mystical peaks and the lush wilderness of the Babarabotuva mountain range which forms the foothills of Adam’s Peak. Our Opatha Estate Oolong is made entirely from the bud and first leaf only – a typically Chinese method of manufacturing which has previously never been done before in Sri Lanka. The tea is lightly fermented – 6 to 6.5 minutes – and is famed for its silky body, light earthiness, herbaceousness, and hints of sweetness.

Tea & Food Pairing – Oolong Tea Our Oolong Teas take a middle path in strength, thereby offering hospitality professionals the opportunity to pair food that is balanced in flavour and strength, as opposed to food that is either too rich, or too light, in taste.
