COUNCIL ON LEGISLATION TO MEET IN CHICAGO 10-15 APRIL
Representa ves from Rotary clubs worldwide will gather in Chicago 10-15 April to consider changes to the policies that guide Rotary Interna onal and its member clubs. The Council on Legisla on meets every three years and is an essen al part of Rotary's governance. The representa ves -- one from each Rotary district -- review and vote on proposals that seek to change Rotary's cons tu onal documents and on resolu ons that express an opinion or make a recommenda on to the Rotary Interna onal Board of Directors. Get live updates and daily vote totals on My Rotary beginning 11 April. Many of this year's proposed changes are designed to increase membership by giving clubs greater exibility in the ming and the nature of their mee ngs. Other proposals would amend membership requirements. Over the decades, Council representa ves have debated virtually every nuance of Rotary policy and membership and a endance rules. The ďŹ ve-day mee ng is one of Rotary's primary agents for change, allowing the organiza on to evaluate and enhance its relevance in a rapidly changing world.
