School Holiday Programme Keeps Young Minds Active
The long summer holiday is always a welcome break but the weeks away from education can lead to ‘learning loss’ while pupils are out of school.

It’s been estimated that children can lose as much as 4 week’s worth of academic learning over the 6 week holiday. One way of beating summer learning loss is with the Kip Summer School – running 1 or 2 days a week in both our Centres throughout August. You can book just one session or multiple sessions, the choice is yours. Design a timetable to fit your family needs. With less pressure from long school days and homework, it’s the ideal time for your child to catch up and keep up in the core subjects of maths and English. Summer School is ideal for all children aged 6 – 16yrs, especially if they are: Falling behind academically after 2 years of disrupted education Lacking in confidence in the classroom Struggling with their reading or spelling Facing SATS testing at the end of Year 6 Moving up to Secondary School in September Working towards GCSE exams in maths and English Sitting 11+ exams in September – tuition and mock exams available Would just like a little bit of extra help
Kip McGrath is based in Peterborough and runs sessions at their two centres or online.

Over the last 45 years Kip Centres around the world have helped millions of children achieve their learning goals with our Peterborough North Centre teaching over 700 students since opening in April 2016. A free assessment helps identify your child’s strengths as well as any learning gaps. It is also an ideal way to meet the team, enabling you to feel confident that you’re making the right decision for your child. The curriculum is designed for learning success and is tailored to target each student’s learning gaps. At Kip McGrath, our caring and qualified tutors are all experienced teachers, and have the passion and skill to unlock your child’s full potential. Students have the same tutor every week, which helps build a strong relationship. Lessons include one-on-one tutoring in a small group setting with short-burst activities to keep them fun and engaging. There are face-to-face lessons at the centres or online via a purpose-built tutoring platform. All Summer Holiday Programme sessions must be booked and paid for in advance. (Normal enrolment terms and conditions do not apply). Peterborough North will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Peterborough South will open on Wednesdays only.
