CafĂŠ Milano Brunch del Sabato
06 | Dining and Nightlife Abu Dhabi
Brunch in the city is always a stylish affair and we know no one does style quite like the Italians. Café Milano attracts a young, fashionable and classy crowd. Café Milano is possibly one of the only places where people still dress up to dine, I must admit the grace of it all is quite alluring. On this beautiful Saturday afternoon we are visiting Café Milano to experience their Brunch del Sabato. Saturday brunch starts from AED 190* for soft beverages and AED 250* for bottomless bubbles, grape and hops and children 12 and under pay AED 60*. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering its Café Milano, however once the dishes start to arrive you will soon realise that this is a very well-priced Saturday brunch.
A hard act to follow, the scallops also managed to impress. The potato and sage croquette may sound dull but its surprisingly enjoyable. Finally, our favourite course, the pasta. All the pasta is made fresh in house and served family style. Guests can enjoy two types of pasta. Our favouite is the house-made pici pasta with shrimps and zucchini. Using only a few ingredients it ensures that the taste of the fresh pasta is not lost. The blend of shrimps and zucchini allow for a light pasta dish perfect for this time of year. If you wish you can also choose the type of pasta, just ensure you ask the team beforehand.
For mains we have a choice of three dishes, roasted chicken with potatoes, skewered lamb with bell peppers The courses are themed and served complimented by veal sausage served directly to your table. To start, a with mixed vegetables and roasted red selection of small plates consisting of, snapper fillet with spinach sauce and dill marinated salmon with orange and vegetables. In-between courses we take a moment to enjoy the view across Abu Dhabi’s skyline. Café Milano has a large open terrace with spanning views across the water and the city. Designed by acclaimed New York designer Adam Tihany, Café Milano is bright, modern and airy. In the hotter months, the sliding doors can be closed, ensuring guests can still enjoy the view minus the heat. The next course, roasted scallops with tomato sauce, olives and capers, roasted octopus with peach, green beans and mint, onion and potato frittata, poached egg with parmigiano cheese sauce and potato and sage croquette with tomato sauce. The roasted octopus is exceptional, by far the best we’ve tasted in the city.
To reach Café Milano guests can valet at the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi. As you enter the hotel and walk through the lobby take the escalator at the far end of the corridor. Café Milano is easily signposted. Overall if you are looking to experience a relaxed and refined Saturday brunch, in a leading Italian restaurant, at a reasonable price, we can’t think of a better place than Café Milano. tashas
08 | Dining and Nightlife Abu Dhabi
Upmarket South African cafe chain tashas is causing quite a buzz with its first Abu Dhabi venue. Located in what seems to be the new epicentre of trendy cafes, Marsa Al Bateen. The stylish standalone cafe has already attracted a substantial loyal following, there was barely a table to be had when we visited on a weekday lunchtime, even the outdoor terrace was busy for those braving the afternoon heat. First impressions were good, the modern interior is quite stunning. Every branch of tashas has its own unique theme that inspires both the decor and the local menu, in Abu Dhabi it’s Mediterranean. The natural tonal palette is complemented with plants in rattan baskets and eclectic chic accessories stacked on wooden shelves, lanterns of all shapes and sizes and coir baskets, cosy corners and casual seating areas. The stunning layered waterproof paper ceiling installation by Pretoria based artist Elonah O’Neil is a real talking point.
and emmentaler served with sides of guacamole and spicy tomato relish, after a squeeze of my fresh lime her meal was tastier. Both fans of tapas we ordered a side of Patatas Bravas from the local menu which was very disappointing. The usual cubes of roasted potato topped with spicy tomato sauce and aioli were substituted with chips covered in a rather unpleasant tasting sauce that weren’t very Spanish tasting. The elderflower and pear granita however was refreshing, especially on such a hot day. While the portions were considerable and we were rather full, our server convinced us that we must sample the Doxa chocolate slice. We shared the rich and decadent dark chocolate dessert that was topped with caramel-coated cashew nuts and served with vanilla ice-cream, all covered in a separate milk chocolate sauce, sweet and delicious.
Not one to rest on her laurels tashas founder Natasha Sideris is looking to expand further in the region, with three more branches We were presented with two menus, the large foldable tashas planned to open this year. With fifteen locations already under her classic menu, which is available at all branches and the smaller belt (thirteen in South Africa, one in Dubai and now Abu Dhabi) separate ‘inspired by menu’, exclusive to diners in the capital. To Sideris has proven this popular boutique lifestyle concept which say there are a lot of options would be an understatement. COYA
Friday Brunch Tucked away on the north side of The Galleria Mall on Al Maryah Island, next to the Four Seasons, COYA has almost a hidden entrance. As if you are ducking into the secret remains of the Inca ruins, well with a red carpet and valet. The moment you walk in the door COYA makes you feel comfortable. You feel like you have entered a beautiful Peruvian home. Colourful bright pillows on wrought iron chairs, lots of greenery, hanging plants and dark wooden tables. The colours and decor are vibrant and distinctively elegant, just like the food. You are welcomed to your table with guacamole made in front of you. But even without the fantastically fresh guacamole, I realize the house-made crisps (a delicious selection made from sweet potatoes, root vegetables and corn tortillas) are incredibly addictive. Four crispy tacos appear, two each of salmon cured with tomatoes and jalapenos and tuna with yuzu and green chili. I have by now almost finished the bowl of roasted edamame sautĂŠed in sweet tangy pepper and garlic...just in time for the ceviche course. The light-filled dining room is centred around a large table of ceviche and the neighbouring bar is filled with earthly salads like the Quinoa al Taramindo with coriander, mint and pomegranate, and the Trio de Maiz, a mix of corn of different shapes and sizes, finished with fried corn, sweet onions and red chilies. There was even tender and flavourful avocado and shiitake mushroom maki. Ceviche abounds with salmon, tuna, sea bream, yellowtail and my favourite, the red snapper in truffle sauce. This is the only part of the meal that you can serve yourself and I feel like I want to take seconds and thirds but decide to hold off for the courses to come. For the mains, there is a variety of very Peruvian choices based on the fundamentals; steak, chicken, vegetarian (Papa Seca- a Peruvian dish of dried potatoes, black truffle and mushroom), grilled salmon and sea bass risotto. All are served with a side of grilled asparagus, warm stir-fried Asian-style quinoa and char-grilled corn on the cob. The salmon is smoked, finished on the grill and then topped with fresh herbs, preserving its perfect tenderness. The sea bass risotto is rich and nutty with notes of miso as the historical Asian influence on Peruvian food is pleasantly apparent.

Dessert is multiple different small tastes served on a platter of popcorn, in homage to one of Peru’s favourite grains. The flan was super creamy, but the most interesting was the Chicha Morada (purple corn) Colada with passion fruit and strawberry. Bright, tangy and sweet all at the same time. The atmosphere is clean and calm as the sea glimmers in the sun through the long wall of windows. The waitstaff are affluent in Peruvian fare and will most likely be able to tell you the fifteen ingredients in your seemingly simple ceviche. COYA’s ingredients are traditional, their preparation and plating is innovative. It is ancient and modern. With the right balance of each and all to keep their guests both satisfied and yet intrigued Brunch packages start from AED 278. Room For our visit, we check into Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas Private Executive Villa. On arrival, we are welcomed at the entrance of our Private Executive Villa with a mint juice and cold towel, attention to detail at its finest. As you enter the Private Executive Villa you walk into the open plan living room which features a large L shaped sofa, state of the art sound system and large dining table. The bathrooms feature an open plan Chinese lava wave marble, including dual vanity sinks, Hans Grohe walk-in rain shower and a deep soaking stand-alone Toto bathtub with soft bathrobes and Le Labo signature bath products. The two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other with two twin beds both offer French doors that lead out into the private outdoor area. The villa does also have a maid’s room with a separate entrance and separate bathroom plus a spacious outdoor area that can be used for private spa treatments. If this isn’t impressive enough wait until you see the private outdoor terrace, this boasts two sun loungers, a seating area, a relaxation area, a grass area, a private plunge pool and did we mention the spanning ocean views? If we were to call this Private Executive Villa breathtaking that would still be an understatement. It’s no wonder so many celebrities choose to stay here. The villa also features pampering touches such as daily buffet breakfast, daily fruit, water and a newspaper. This Private Executive Villa is exceptional. The cleanliness, service and luxury that this villa offers is unparalleled.
Dining The Park Bar & Grill Tonight we are dining at The Park Bar & Grill, the restaurant offers a large variety of steaks and seafood from the grill. The menu is presented on one large page, making it easy to select our dishes. For starters, I decide to try the tuna tartare with avocado, mango and lime my dining companion selects the prawn cocktail with king prawns, grapefruit and avocado. Both dishes are perfectly executed, the mango with the tuna tartare is a stroke of genius, it makes the dish light and zesty. The prawn cocktail is a classic but the slices of avocado make it more appealing to the modern-day foodie. For the main course, I order the striploin bone-in greater Omaha, Nebraska, USA 270g with homemade BBQ sauce. For my side dishes, I order the steak fries, mashed potato and spinach with sundried tomato and pine nuts. The striploin is delicious, cooked as requested, the cut has just the right amount of marbling of fat to create a melt in the mouth moment. My colleague opts for the cowboy steak greater Omaha, Nebraska, USA, 400g with chimichurri sauce. This was complimented by mushroom fricassee with garlic oil and a green salad. The cowboy steak is full of flavor and by far the one we would recommend. The cut has hardly any fat and offers bite after bite of succulent, delicious beef. For our desserts, we order the warm chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and banoffee cheese cake. Both desserts are enjoyable but the banoffee cheese cake is amazing. Not too often do we find this on the menu.

The Café, Friday Brunch The next morning we are up bright and early making the most of the private plunge pool before heading off to brunch. Friday brunch is held at The Café, the hotels all day dining restaurant. This family friendly brunch features a range of international cuisine and even has dedicated food stands created especially for the little ones. As we wonder around the brunch we are instantly drawn to the selection of seafood available. To start we enjoy a selection of oysters, prawns, mussels and crab. Sticking with the seafood theme we then select the smoked salmon, salmon tartar and a few pieces of sushi. All are extremely fresh and enjoyable. For our next helping we decide to try the Asian selection and have a small helping of tom yum soup, peking duck pancakes along with rice paper rolls, again all impress. Being more of a savory person myself I choose to finish on a savory note and head straight for the cheese section, my dining companion on the other hand cannot resist the selection of tempting treats on offer. And from what I gather the cupcakes are not to be missed. Whilst the brunch selection may not be the largest in the city, what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality. Isn’t it better to do a few items well than a lot average? This brunch is perfect if you are looking for a chilled-out Friday brunch with 5-star food quality.
Beach House On our last day we decide to try the new breakfast menu recently launched at the Beach House. If you’ve never dined at the Beach House you must, the food is great and the views are beautiful. Renowned for its Mediterranean cuisine the Beach House has long been a favorite with residents, so we have high hopes for the breakfast. The weekend breakfast menu is served from 9.00am to 11.00am. Reinventing the way guests experience eggs benedict, the menu introduces several takes on this breakfast classic from steak and egg benedict to berries benedict. If you are feeling slightly less adventurous you can stick with the classic or alternatively enjoy Belgium waffles or healthy alternatives such as mango and coconut chia pudding or gluten free granola. From the benedict’s menu, I opt for the salmon dish, a toasted baguette, béarnaise, avocado, smoked salmon and salmon roe make for a delightful start to the day. My companion selects the breakfast in a pan, beef sausage, organic egg, datterino tomato, mushrooms and oregano. We both opt for a coffee however the menu does also offer a selection of teas, fresh juices and smoothies. Worth mentioning is the evening menu at the Beach House. The menu features a range of Mediterranean delicacies and whatever you do you have to try the desserts. This is the only restaurant that does churros and cannoli the way they are supposed to be.
May | 15
Spa Before departing the tranquil Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas we decide we cannot resist a trip to the spa. The Atarmia Spa is located just to the side of the lobby making it easily accessible. The spa features yet another pool for guests to enjoy, slightly hidden this is the place to go if you want a pool all to yourself.
The Verdict From the moment you arrive, to the moment you check out, be prepared to be treated like a VIP. The service, atmosphere and the cleanliness of the hotel are exceptional. Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas is ranked as one of the best Culinary Travel visits we have ever experienced. Keeping in mind, we have visited to date some of the best luxury hotel and resorts around the world so this statement isn’t made lightly. Attention to detail is evident in all aspects of the hotel and our overall experience was fantastic. The Private Executive Villa is highly recommended, with your very own private pool and stunning views, be sure to book a visit and experience what’s it like to live like a star at the stunning Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas.
Treatments are categorized by Brilliance, Majestic, Lustrous and Opulence each is designed to address your specific desires. We opt for the 60-minute aromatherapy massage. As we enter the treatment room the room is dimly lit and smells sensational. We are shown to our private changing area. Before our treatment commences our therapists wash our feet, a relaxing start. The aromatherapy massage is soothing and calming. The therapeutic Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, 02 407 1234 deep tissue work on our muscles, results in us feeling peaceful. The therapists are very professional and make us feel comfortable throughout the treatment. The massage treatment beds are very comfortable and the reclining features just added to the experience.

The restaurant features an open plan show kitchen adjacent to a private lounge area for enjoying pre-and post-beverages. The updated version of the restaurant is more spacious, exquisite, warm and modern, ideal for any type of gathering. An impressive selection of premium aged cuts from farms of Australia, USA and Ireland highlight the greater emphasis Chef and his team place on the food quality. Chef Mehmet Koyuncu, Executive Chef at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi has worked with the team to create a menu that is condensed yet innovative, whilst maintaining a reasonable price point. The starters feature ten dishes, ranging from seared scallops, burrata, steak tartare, salmon duo and oysters to mention a few. The signature steaks, Australian Wagyu, Irish John Stone and Black Angus Tenderloin bring out an incredible culinary finesse as the dishes are prepared live in front of your eyes. We tried the Australian Wagyu Striploin 5-6+ and the Master Kobe Tenderloin 9+. Both steaks were mouth-watering, cooked to perfection and perfectly accompanied with house cut steak fries, grilled prawns and mushroom sauce. Dessert lovers should not miss a tempting line-up of signature desserts including Tiramisu Flower Pot and Chocolate Fondue. We tried the Chocolate Fondue and it was amazing, cut into the dessert and expect oozing layers of rich chocolate to trickle onto your spoon.

Vegan Dining As a vegan blogger, I am frequently asked about eating out in Abu Dhabi, where do I go, am I able to find places to dine easily? I can honestly say that I did struggle when I first transitioned to vegan, I had no idea where to start and I was constantly worried about being served animal products unknowingly or being stuck with a salad! However, I love dining out and throughout these past few years I have tried several restaurants in Abu Dhabi and in doing so hunted down the best vegan friendly places in town. It is no secret that Abu Dhabi hosts some mind-blowing dining experiences, here are three of my favourites….. where you won’t be served a plain salad! Sontaya, The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi I am totally obsessed with Sontaya for a few reasons, the main one being that they have an entire menu titled ‘Vegetarian Corner’ dedicated to both vegans and vegetarians. It’s great going out to eat and having so many amazing dishes to choose from! Sontaya serves the best satay tofu I have ever had (and I have had a lot of satay tofu) along with the most gorgeous rice paper spring rolls. There are plenty of delicious veggie side dishes to choose from as well as vegan salads, soups and curries. Not only is the food out of this world, the restaurant sits on a floating pavilion and the view is beautiful. I highly recommend heading there for sunset, be sure to book an outdoor table before it gets too hot! 22 | Dining and Nightlife Abu Dhabi
Hoi An, Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi As soon as you step into Hoi An, you feel like you have been teleported to South East Asia and you just know the food is going to be good. The menu boasts an entire page of mouth-watering vegetable dishes and there is even a veggie set menu option available which is something I don’t see often. Crispy Mushroom Rolls, Tempura Eggplant and Sweet and Sour Soup are just a few of the delicious veggie starter dishes available. When it comes to the main course, the Clay Pot Braised Tofu steals the show. Tomato sauce, eggplant, onion and sweet basil are combined to create a generous tofu dish bursting with flavour. Hoi An is the perfect mix of chic yet authenticity, I can’t wait to visit again! Sit outside to enjoy a stunning setting under the Vietnamese lamps and get that real feel of Asia. KOI, The Collection, Saadiyat Island If you fancy a night of sushi and other Japanese delights then KOI is a must. The restaurant itself is elegant and oozes charm, friendly and attentive staff who welcome you as soon as you step inside. The extensive menu clearly lists which dishes are vegetarian and also highlights dishes that include dairy, which makes it really easy to order. Enjoy the ridiculously addictive Edamame or the Chilled Tomato and Crunchy Sweet Potato to begin this impressive culinary experience, I also love the Seaweed Medley. The Sushi is fantastic with avocado, cucumber and mixed vegetable rolls available and the Grilled Eggplant is a must try. KOI hosts one of the best Friday brunches in Abu Dhabi which can be created to meet the needs of vegans and vegetarians, a five course Japanese food journey not to be missed! With so many new restaurants having opened recently, we tend to forget about the classics. When I had the opportunity to visit Bocca located at Hilton Abu Dhabi I was curious to see if this classic Italian restaurant matched up to the newer contenders. Firstly, the location, Bocca is slightly hidden away at the far side of the hotel, although easily signposted from outside we do have to ask for some assistance finding the restaurant once in the hotel. However, as we arrive we receive a warm Italian welcome. The restaurant has an open pizza kitchen where guests can watch the pizzas being freshly made. The décor itself is refined, burgundy leather seats, low lighting and dark wooden floors make for a stylish venue. The floor to ceiling windows ensure we can watch the world go by as we dine, with views overlooking the Corniche. As we look through the menu we enjoy warm home-made breads with a selection of dips, ranging from the creamy pesto and cheese, sundried tomato and chili to the salty olives and anchovy. Finally, after much deliberation we decide on the burrata and bruschetta, two classic Italian dishes. Served on a bed of tomatoes and olives and finished with balsamic reduction the burrata is light and smooth, the thick outer shell quickly breaks to the touch of my knife, a great start to our dining experience. My dining companion is enjoying the bruschetta. The bruschetta is not your typical bruschetta, served on grilled sourdough bread with buffalo ricotta and wild forest mushrooms. If you love mushrooms you will love this bruschetta.
Up next our mains. I select the calzone, whilst my dining companion selects the pizza Napoli. After seeing the pizzas being freshly made we couldn’t resist a pizza even though the pasta dishes sound delightful. The calzone is packed with gooey mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers and tomato sauce. If you like mozzarella this is the pizza for you, it literally flows out of the calzone. The pizza Napoli smells amazing, topped with a generous helping of mozzarella, capers, anchovies and black olives, this pizza has a thin crusty base, unlike the light and fluffy folded calzone. Finally, dessert. I’m a huge fan of Italian desserts, so I was curious to see what was on the menu. The team advise me that the chocolate fondente is made fresh and takes around 20 minutes to bake. The thought of a warm chocolate fondente was too much to resist, even for me. My dining companion goes totally the opposite way and orders the traditional Sicilian cannolo with flavoured ricotta and pistachio. Both desserts were yummy but the chocolate fondente was excellent, served with vanilla ice cream and cut strawberries, it’s one to try. Overall Bocca provided a lovely dining experience. The team are very welcoming and the restaurant manager Luca and Chef Leonardo both took the time not only to welcome us, but other guests in the restaurant. This classic Italian still has a place in Abu Dhabi’s dining scene. Inakaya Located in the Venetian Village, just behind The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, you will find Inakaya. Inakaya presents a distinctive dining experience, robatayaki, a Japanese grilling art that is as much a performance as it is a way of cooking. The enthusiastic staff are dressed in kimono and happi coat-style uniforms. The restaurant features light wooden dÊcor with an open robata grill. Inakaya has been designed to offer a comfortable yet interactive dining experience. If the timing is right, diners can enjoy the thanking performance, performed by the energetic team. We decide to take a seat in front of the robata grill as not to miss any of the theatrics, plus if you sit here you can have your food handed to you on a 1.2-metre-long paddle by the yakikata (grill-masters). For starters, we order the rock shrimp tempura, tuna salmon tar-tar and the Wagyu beef tataki. The rock shrimp tempura is crisp to the bite, served with a side of sweet garlic chilli, delicious. The tuna salmon tar-tar is my personal favourite, tidbits of tuna and salmon in miso tartare sauce topped with crispy crackers, this dish is light yet bursting with flavour. However, the simple yet surprising flavours of the Wagyu beef tataki are not to be overlooked. This is my dining companions favourite, seared Wagyu beef on a bed of green salad, enoki and shimeji mushrooms with a dash of truffle soy dressing. The truffle soy dressing is what makes the dish, a brilliant combination of flavours. Francis, the restaurant manager recommends we try the Kobe beef skewers and the grilled scallops from the robata grill section of the menu. Patiently grilled to perfection, it is a joy to taste, as it is to watch the theatre and flare of Inakaya’s grill masters. The scallops are delightful but the Kobe beef skewers are phenomenal. The Kobe beef is succulent and flakes off the skewer effortlessly. From the main menu we select the miso black cod fillet. Grilled miso marinated black cod, glazed in Japanese pickled plum with miso basil sauce. The glazed pickled plum sauce adds a tantalizing taste to the black cod. Personally, we would rate this as the best black cod in Abu Dhabi. Inakaya, Venetian Village, 02 404 1921

ern Inspired Eggplant
I love eggplant, it is super easy to cook, tastes delicious and is good for you. Eggplant is rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B6, thiamin, niacin, magnesium, phosphorous, copper, fiber, folic acid, potassium and manganese. Eggplant also contains almost no cholesterol, or saturated fat.
Method 1. Slice the eggplants in half and proceed to cut deep indents through the centre of the eggplants. Sprinkle the eggplants with a pinch of salt and allow to sit in a bowl for 60 minutes. After 60 minutes, you will notice liquid at the bottom of the bowl, discard the liquid.
Today I want to share with you one of my favourite eggplant recipes. I tend to cook this recipe a lot in the summer, mainly because its quick and tasty, plus eggplants are in season which makes them even more flavoursome.
2. Whilst the eggplants are sitting you can make the yogurt sauce. Place the 100g of plain yoghurt, 1 tbsp coriander, lemon juice, 1 crushed garlic clove, salt and pepper in a small bowl and mix to combine. Place in the fridge for later.
Serves 4 Ingredients · 2 large eggplants · 1 pinch of salt and pepper · 100g plain yoghurt · 1 tbsp fresh coriander, to taste · Lemon juice, to taste · 1 garlic clove, crushed 20g nuts, either walnuts or pine nuts, roughly chopped · 1 pomegranate
3. Heat a chargrill pan over high heat, once hot add a tablespoon of coconut oil. Season the eggplants with pepper and place in the pan. Grill for 4 minutes on each side. Eggplants should be golden brown. 4. Place the hot grilled eggplants on a plate, add a generous dollop of the yogurt mix, sprinkle with pomegranate seeds and either walnuts or pine nuts. Enjoy! Appaloosa
The newly opened Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi is located in the grounds of Al Forsan International Sports Resort. Since its opening the hotel has made quite a noise in the city. Residents are raving about the hotel’s steakhouse, The Grill, which we reviewed last month but today we are exploring one of the hotels other outlets, Appaloosa. The name Appaloosa comes from the popular horse breed, keeping with the Al Forsan theme. Appaloosa is the hotel’s unique bar, it offers guests a variety of crafted beverages, live music and DJ sets, as well as a huge terrace area where guests can enjoy one of the best shishas in town. The venue offers comfortable seating where guests can relax and unwind, the relaxed dress code ensures that no one feels out of place. The menu features a selection of salads, small plates, burgers and sandwiches, big plates, hand cut fries, sweets and beverages. The salads include home cured duck salad as well as the classic Caesar salad and the much-loved cobb salad. Small plates range from a variety of international cuisines, offering everything from soft pretzels to BBQ beef brisket mini sliders. The burgers and sandwiches are not just your typical run of the mill burger and bun, whilst you can create our own burger, don’t miss out on the more exclusive seared tuna burger or the Portobello goat cheese panini. If you’re feeling hungry go straight to the big plates section of the menu, comfort food at its best, fish and chips, chicken tikka masala, smoked veal ribs and chicken wings are just a few dishes you can expect. The hand cut fries come in three varieties you can choose to have them with sea salt, or opt for sweet potatoes in maple dressing, they even have chunky wedges available. We’d recommend the sweet potatoes with maple dressing. If you have any space left, even the smallest amount, be sure to squeeze in one of Appaloosa’s desserts, with the classic sticky toffee pudding on the menu it shouldn’t be too hard to find some additional space. Appaloosa runs a popular happy hour, where guests can enjoy 50% off on selected beverages every Saturday to Wednesday, 12noon to 7.00pm. Open from 12.00 to 2.00am Appaloosa will be showing the Champions League final, an excellent time to visit! Appaloosa, Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi, 02 201 4000
